There is a way to find out if the gurgling is caused by condensate or juice The next time you empty the tank dry everything off paying particular attention to the air tube and air control well refill the tank and leave overnight, if it gurgles on the first toke you'll know it's juice leaking If your clearo is leaking it is easily fixed by adding a small flavour wick above the fitted one
In my experience it is usually condensate that causes gurgling in clearos and I keep a pipe cleaner handy for mopping it up

I dont vape JJ menthol on its' own but I do get through quite a bit of it A few drops in a tank of fruity juice will give a lovely cool flavour without spoiling it 10 - 15% can compliment some juices (JJ bubblegum is one) 30 - 40% can transform a crap tobacco flavour into a consulate type vape to save throwing it out Sorry can't help with the VATs never tried em

You can single coil the orchid V4 but you need to block the air port and juice channels with cotton wool on one side. The orchid V6 has a raised insert in the air ports so it is less fiddly to build one sided. If you buy a V6 you will need a needle bottle or blunt syringe for filling If your not going to dual coil it you'd be better buying something more suitable for single coils I agree, I was just answering a question

Does the orchid work well in single coil Tom ? I think I gave up on my magma when I put the 2nd coil in, I found it better in a single coil. I'm going to show my complete ignorance now, after 2½ years of vaping. ??? Have just taken delivery of my second iStick yesterday, and I never go above 3.3V, or it blows my head off, or to be precise has me coughing. What is the advantage of so much extra power? Sorry for being a Dumbo The extra power allows more flexibility in coiling/wicking options if you rebuild

It's hard to tell without seeing it. If the 510 thread is knackered you can get a ego/ego-510 adapter that screws onto the ego thread of your mvp
and gives you a usable ego or 510 connection. I've had one on mine since I got it, it saves keep lifting the centre pin

was released and bought summat else, can't complain tho, I bought a Dovpo DT 50
and I'm chuffed so far. Will I buy the v3 ? once you've used and loved the v2
the v3 is a must have

I've only had mine a couple of days but so far so good
I dont own an istick but I believe the specs are the same
I read somewhere that the Smart 20 is OEM but I haven't seen
that stated officially. I paid £16 for mine at Fasttech

I wouldn't laugh mate, I vaping on a Dovpo 50 atm
I go for performance and reliability over aesthetics
I only asked about the mod out of concern that it
had enough grunt for dual coils

If they sent you some wire with the atty it will probably be 31g
if so 6 wraps around the blue screwdriver they sent will give you
a coil of about 1.8oHm (so x 2 for 0.8ish dual coil). When you come to
wick it with cotton, dont try to cram too much in and leave the primed
wicks just touching the deck above the juice channels.
You've chosen a fantastic atty, good luck
Oops never answered your question, I think 28, 30 and 32 g
will do you for now
PS You never said which mod you use

I have 3 orchid v4 and they're fantastic, but have a plastic tank
the orchid v6 has a glass tank and the air port has an insert to raise
it above deck level to reduce the chance of leaks and makes it easier
to build single coiled, I have a couple on the way and I'll post as to
how I get on with them

I agree with all that's been said and would add that the pre made coils tend to
be made from a very fine gauge wire and are wound on a 1.5mm mandrel which
is fine for protank type coils but can be a bit limiting for rba and rda builds
I'd advise you have a look on one of the coil wrapping calculators for a wire gauge
that will give you 7/8 wraps round a 2mm mandrel, and input the leg length to
5mm (it does make a difference), you never need as much cotton wick as you first think
Good luck

The iPV mini seems to have been well received in the States
and just within your budget too
