Lettie,
I think you should go for it for both your dad and mums sake.
I would have thought there was much less risk for your dad in vaping than smoking.
The thing is also that your dad has requested that you pick one for him so its his wish also. If you don't you may regret it.
As Scylla says if he can get used to maybe the 18mg its bound to be a more healthy option for him.
Also it may add years to his life as after 63 years on cigs every day is a gamble.
Just my thoughts on the matter Lettie.
Ken. xx

It's the whole package for me. If I can find a fantastic subsitute for smoking (which I have) which costs a whole lot less, doesn't smell, doesn't brand you as a social outcast, is legal and gives great pleasure - then why wouldn't I go down the e-cig route? Exactly what I think. Well said Knawes, a first class defination. Agree with Hissie so ditto. Ken.

I still use ashtrays and have them around the flat. I rest my e-cigs in them exactly as I did with the 'real' ones. They don't have that disgusting smell any more though. MM Interesting you should say that Magicma, I find that the ecig resting angle in an ashtray is just about right. I find that if I lay my ecig flat or sit it upright that it leaks a little bit but it does not if I angle it in the ashtray. Anyone else notice this or any tips ? Ken.

Hi Inn, True you won't need to worry here if you are vaping and the ex-pats who are mostly non-smokers will love you. You may however get a few strange looks from the locals though as they will wonder what you are doing with this piece of plastic that gives off smoke. I have not seen anyone else here vaping and those that have seen me probably think I am nuts lol. But do I care ? NO as I am a happier, healthier chappie Ken.

Lettie, Unlike you I never smoked in the house because my wife never smoked and I did not want to inflict my smelly habit on her. In Ireland, the land of rust I always smoked at the back door or went to the garden shed in wet weather which was a lot lol. When we moved to Crete where you can basically smoke wherever you like I thought great this is a smokers paradise. The weather here is great for at least 10 months of the year and generally you eat, drink and smoke outside anyway. In January this year we were invited out with some friends for a meal and because it was a little bit chilly we got a table inside the taverna. Smoking inside a taverna here is perfectly acceptable so I proceeded to light up a ciggy and of course the more I drank the more I smoked. There were 7 of us, Greek,English, and Irish and I was the only smoker. To cut a long story short at the end of the night the ashtray had been emptied by the waiter 3 times and I thought what must my friends think of me? My friends of course were to polite to say and as I said smoking is acceptable here but I felt a little bit unhappy about the situation that I was putting my friends in. Happily, now, not a problem. I enjoy my vaping,I still get my fix, I no longer smell, my wife is happy, my friends are happy. HAPPY DAYS. As you say Lettie : A feeling of liberation. Ken.

Lettie and hubby, Fantastic I'm really pleased for you both and understand how you are feeling. Ecigs are more relaxing than smoking. Proud of you both. Ken.

Talking about flavours. I have just been browsing through James site and he does have a good selection but I'm a little bit confused about the nicotine strengths. I would probably prefer 18 mg but I notice that his juices show 12-18mg for medium and 20-26mg for high. So does that mean that James juices are weaker than other suppliers or is there some other reason that he sells them this way. At this stage I mix 24mg with 18mg giving me a 21mg strength which seems to work for me but think that I could probably get away with 18mg. I would not like lower than 18mg though. Any help will be appreciated. Ken. HI KEN the only reason i give a range of between 12 & 18,2w0-26 and so on is not exactly simple but there way it works is ALL my juices are hand mixed fresh so not always 100% accurate with the Strength BUT if you specificity ask for a strength i will be more diligent and make it that way ..... The other reason is taste and hit ...... some taste better with a little more or less it is all in the taste and viscosity lol thats my excuse and I am sticking to it hehe James A fair excuse James lol. Welcome back as everyone here seems to have missed you big time. Will give you a few days to settle in and get up to date with your orders before I let you know what I need. Regards, Ken.
