Overdo your atties. I had a real problem attie that I was trying to clean out by 'burning' it off. It worked to a point then boiled my blerdy battery. Initially the button just stuck in, but when I tried to prize it out I found that it had actually melted the main switch. The battery is absolutely boogered! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I've removed the 'rubber' switch thinking it may just be pressing the 'on' part. But it appears these batteries don't take kindly to being overheated, so take that into account when you're going out and putting them in your handbag or wherever, make sure you're not putting them anywhere they could be accidentily pushed on for a period of time.

Yep, thats the one drawback to the Tornado/Riva's Dee.....replacement batteries are expensive.... maybe worth the peeps in here who have them buying bulk from TW for Tornado batts, think they work out a good bit cheaper when you buy a 5 pack....£10 each, less discount...we could club together and buy a few packs, then split them, i prefer the T batts over the R ones, as the button seems less prone to sticking

Thanks for that tip Dee. I had/have one battery where occasionally the button sticks in. Luckily I did manage to pry it back out pretty quickly, I was afraid it was going to fry!
I think I said on the Eastmall thread, that I will organise another bulk buy. Now I'm a bit more "savvy" with things, and know how it's working it out for me vaping wise, I plan to order a lot more 510LR's and some spare batterys. I bought a spare cone last time, so that I can have two "full" Rivas if I am out and about. I know it's only cosmetic, but it does look better with the cone.

Because of the problems I've had with regular manual 510 battery buttons sticking, I never press and hold the button on my Tornado/Riva batteries without giving them a click or two in the process, I find doing this prevents them from sticking. I use hard tube spectacle cases to carry my Tornados and, to date, haven't had a problem. I no longer use the LR atties with anything as they murder the batteries. Fox

Now that you've told me that Foxy, I'm going to try my LR atties with my 3.7v Screwdriver batteries which are past their best rather than wait until I get new ones I hate to speak too soon, but if anyone is worried about sticking buttons - my Garry Dibley passthru and the MarkI Scewdriver never suffer from that. BUT, one must be careful not to "store" them anywhere where pressure could be exerted on the button and activate the battery. scylla

Dee, have you spoken to LF about this? I have a battrry completely fail after almost a month and they have replaced it for me without quibble
I am all for splitting a pack of batteries if anyone else is interested, but I don't like the lack of warranty on the TW or TECC multipacks and I can't understand why they would offer a 28 day warranty on singles, but only DOA returns on multi pack?
Abe has multi packs that work out at less than a tenner per battery, although only white at the moment.
Edited for appalling smelling pistakes

I will need new atties & batteries soon since I'm getting away with this vaping lark. Up to now, I've had no issues with buttons sticking or attie problems, but early days I suppose. Keep me updated on when another Eastmall order is getting drawn up

We can test each unit for DOA immediately on receipt, but that's about it, I reckon. scylla

I no longer use the LR atties with anything as they murder the batteries. Fox Gosh Foxy, feel nervous using them on the Riva, when they come Am feeling less thrilled with the Riva at the mo......... button potentially sticking is not reassuring. Also when out & on/off vaping, it's a bit of a faff disconnecting the attie as you have to take the cart & cone off to do so. Blowing hot & cold on the Riva today ........love it one minute, but not the next

The mini 510s I used when I first started, the button was always sticking, burnt myself loads of times on the hot Atty. I've had a Tornado for 4 months now, and it's never happened once. The riva I've had for just over a week, no problems so far, i'm sure it's not a regular occurrence. And LR atties I find great on both the tornado and riva, their only downside for me has been a short lifespan, about 1 week at a push till the atties lose their power. The battery does run down quicker, but I reckon still get 5 hours from the Tornado/riva with LR's. Nothing to worry about really, especially considering what we all started with...it's all good

I've been using the same few LR atties for weeks , although I'm sure if I put a new one on I would notice the difference . I had a battery pack up at the grand old age of 27 days, but I put that down to a fault as it just died. To be honest, buying the LR atties from China at say 2.50 each, if they last a week, that's a tenner a month. Perhaps buy a new battery every month (at worst) - another tenner. Couple of bottles of juice a month (yes, I know I exceed that allowance) puts another £20 on the bill - £40 a month - the same as I spent in one week on my ciggies. Then add on the benefits - the health improvements, potential years added to your life, not being treated like a social pariah, smelling pleasant (depending on bathing habits of course), not seeing my daughter wince from my breath when I kiss her goodnight and the pure pleasure of vaping - absolutely priceless.

I just pull my cartridge out from the top and drip or top up, and then pop it back on, as I did my 901 or screwdriver. Only take the cone off when I change the battery or atty. Or am I missing something? ???

I'm talking about when I'm out, I vape on & off, so when not using, for safety, disconnect attie from battie - hence, the faff with cone (don't like the look of riva without cone)

Lolli, i dont bother taking the attie off when out, i just stick it in my jeans pocket or bag, making sure its not next to anything that might get wedged against it...it's never fired up when i dont want it to think thats wot she meant Jaki
