Ah, see I can't use the LR cart on the SDK - and therein lies my problem - or "issue" as they say these days....
Not had a smoko ciggie so doing ok - have thought about them but not really wanted one, very odd. Really like the Whisky Cream but it is a tad too strong - am I right in thinking I could drip a couple of drops drops of VG on cart when dry enough to weaken it?
Also like Cherry Pipe, Arctic Cherry and Apples and Pears. Not at all sure on Cocomel yet or menthol tabac - I get a bit of sweaty sock with that last one!
Work colleagues very interested in my e-cigs and couldn't believe it wasn't real smoke from either SDK or Riva. Already got one planning her order.
I am having fun!

I'll be ordering again in a few days - spare batteries, another SDK for my 23 year old son at home, possibly a few more flavours(!). My middle son, who is in Newcastle, has just ordered an SDK on the strength of my raves. He knows how much I love smoking and also knows if I'm saying this is good, well......
Have filled a few cartomisers ready for use whenever - labeled em but forgot to write if they were Boge LR or Kanger SR and as I ordered both sets in silver they look the same to me! Lesson learnt.

Oooh, I am liking Whisky Cream! It's hiding the sweet taste for me, but has a hint of tobacco smokiness...mmmm. On the Riva now.

I'm trying to use it like I smoked cigs so I don't overdo it.

I think the underlying sweetness in the flavour will take a little getting used to - the TH (get me) and menthol part are just right - think this is 18mg and I smoked 20 - 25 regular ciggies daily. I'm not missing the yuk taste of ciggies, but the sweetness seems strange.

Weeeee...lll - no, I don't want to sound like Lulu....
My parcel arrived (with a few freebies from Jason - fab service)! Tried v quickly the SDK with the Menthol cartomiser - wow, it is so convincing to my brain which seemed to think I was smoking! So tiny too, powerful and convenient. Really like it.
The Riva 1100 - well, I tried it very quickly too - fantastic.
Both on charge now, waiting....
I think from initial try, I am convinced by throat hit and vape produced - it feels like an almost seamless substitute to me for smoking. I think the hardest job for me will be finding a flavour but am looking forward to that challenge. So far, the experience has me and my smoking brain convinced.
This is nothing like the few e cigs from garages etc I've seen and had a quick try of, but never bought because they just didn't seem worth it to me.
So just to let you know, I will definitely be at it later tonight.....
Delighted Ali x

You're all so kind - oooh, feel like I'm at the Oscars, making a speech. But you are, and the forum is a mine of information. I've read and read, and watched, and read again, clicked links.......
Can't wait now!

Well, took the plunge and ordered..... I have on it's way an SD Keyring (menthol) and a Riva 1100. I also got some SR Boge atmoisers and Kanger LR so I can try both. And then, the Pick n Mix in
Arctic Cherry Whisky Cream Cocomel Cherry Pipe Menthol Tabac (I think!)
all in the 20mg strength, ooh, and a drip tip. Might seem a lot to start, but that's me - like to give it a good go!
The reviews of the SD seem really good and I thought it's a good kinda instant one to start with and take out and about. And who knows, my sons might get into this? They are certainly interested. Went for a lot of menthol cos I do like a mint ciggy now and again and a lot of folk don't seem to really lke the tobacco flavours.
And I remembered the code!
So, hopefully, Tuesday or Wednesday should see me with the vapours.
Thanks to all the info on here and Jason;s help from Vape Escape.

Thank you everyone - good to come across a forum when you're starting out that is so friendly and has a sense of humour! - there's a lot of bitchin on the tinternet.
I'm a nurse, which is where I think a lot of the ritual stuff comes from - many of us light up in our breaks, when we get them. In fact, when I first trained, way back in the mists, I think virtually everyone smoked at work. It was very much a social/peer thing.
But it's weird how I dislike the after smell - I don't even like it if I've not had a cig for an hour and smell it on someone else. And I hate the thought I must smell like that too. But then, I am strange....

Hello all
Spent some time reading here - it seems a really friendly and helpful forum - and contacted Jason at Vapescape for advice and he gave me a super fast reply!
I'm 51, smoked 20 - 25 daily for, must be, 30 + years. I would really like to give up or greatly reduce the habit.
I do enjoy the act of smoking and believe a lot of it is ritual for me but hate the smell afterwards on clothes, fabric, hair, hands etc (!), so feel that vaping may work for me. Patches made me feel ill with heart palps, weird dreams etc.
I'm thinking of starting with the Riva 1100. Choice of juices is overwhelming but thought I'd start with pic n mix - I like a menthol cig occ and love that Cherry tobacco in a rollie you can get from tobacconist.
Any advice on cartomisers as they seem to be the way to go?
Thanks to all
Ali x
