Wise words from Jason.
He must be some kind of Nostradamus then.
Prolonged inhalation of Vegetable Glycerin, Propylene glycol and flavourings is safe and isn't going to harm you?
How would he know. Come back in 40 years time, then I may be a believer.
I use e-cigs as I'm addicted to nicotine, and I think they're a safer alternative to smoking.
But E-cigs safe? No way.
The human body was not built to inhale at these amounts and levels. There will be harm done. Just no one knows what the damage will be yet.

Ah well, I tried to be civil... Are you a fast typer, or do you just not know how to spell those big long words? So you personally know quitters of both smoking and E-cigs...well call me a sceptic but I think in fact you're telling porkies. and i would be concerned as to your opinion because? Because you're the Daddy-o

Chrissie, hypothetical question...
If E-cigs were ever banned and you could not in any way get supplies, would you return to being a smoker?
Try going 2 days without your E-cig now...I've tried it, absolute nightmare, worse than going without smokes it is.
I honestly think that a massive percentage of current vapers would return to the smokes if vaping was unattainable, no question.

Ismeitis...if you can just for 1 sec refrain from the winding up, do you know anyone who has quit smoking, used E-cigs, then quit? I'd seriously like to know. I've introduced E-cigs to literally dozens of smokers since I started, and every one of them is still either using E-cigs, or are back on the smokes...no one i know personally has quit both... The only genuine quitter I've come across was on a forum. Thery really are not a cessation product.

I think i'm in Dave's camp lol...it's all bit confusing.
For example,
I can count on 1 hand, in 18 months of vaping, of people actually being able to quit E-cigs. Loads of people have quit the tabs, obviously, but no one escapes from the nicotine.
I'm certainly in that group, a nicotine addict.
There's no chance of me ever smoking tabs again, but that's only as long as E-cigs are available. If E-cigs were banned, I'd almost certainly end up back on the tabs. I suspect most vapers would be in the same boat.
so on that basis, I think 99% of vapers have indeed 'just changed brands'.

I've had the Don for about a fortnight, it's a crackin mod. My tornado's have been consigned to the spares box, that's never happened before The beauty of the don is the versatility, minidon for outdoors (the small high drain battery lasts me all day), and 18650 sleeve gets stuck on at night. The switch works as it should, and is easy to adjust when you change the sleeves out. chuck marks...aye mines got the mark, it's nothing to worry about, and i'm sure it'll come off eventually when i can be bothered to polish it. I also think the price point is very fair, even with the marks. It's a clever design, and works well. No problems recommending the Don ere

Interesting thread… I started vaping January 2010, no problems at all for the first year…felt great. Had minor problems in December2010 , nothing severe, but it got me thinking. I tried a few things on the juice side, different PG, VG etc, no change, just had intermittent lethargy, bad headaches and short of breath occasionally. Couple of months later, I tried going without LR atties, as I felt they were giving me headaches, and I had read a thread on UKV about potential acrolein using LR’s… when you’re health is not right, you’ll hang on to anything lol. So, went onto clearos, no problems for the first month, then tight chests, breathlessness, burning tongue, again not severe, and only occasionally, but it was a worry all the same. Chucked clearos, went onto tanks. Again, ok for first couple of weeks, then developed a really crap stinging, burning tongue. This would last for full days at a time, then disappear, then come back. Now onto Dual coil cartos, no problems in the past 2 weeks… I’ve been to docs about some of symptoms, had a few tests, I’m as healthy as a 43 year old bloke could be. That’s good then. But I know for a fact that if I did not vape, none of the above symptoms would have occurred. As someone said, ‘you know your own body’. I love vaping, I’m more addicted to it than I was to cigarettes, so I’ll soldier on till I can find that perfect place that was the 1st 12 months of vaping. But if a happy medium can’t be found, I may have to attempt to pack in…I really hope it doesn’t come to that. Now, where’s that Don I ordered lol.

It is, yes - current is dependent on resistance, assuming constant voltage - Ohm's law applies, and ye canna change the laws of physics captain... champion, cheers Dave yar a star.

Thanks for that Dave.
I've always used LR atties on me tornado's, no problems with those.
So is it right to assume these 1.5LR dual coils use the same amount of power as a 1.5LR LR atty?
