I was in Tesco getting one of my prescriptions about 20 minutes ago and this was on the pharmacy counter -

Also when you find them please let us know what area your tescos is in as i think this will be good to find out where they are being stocked.

Now that is great news Verey,e-cigs rule supreme and its about time.I wont be buying one as its disposable, but i reckon our vendors and forums will become even busier soon,with all the people that want advice on much better products.Atleast its a step in the rite direction,wont be long until you can buy an Ego from the corner shop

Its funny aswell i forgot to mention i went shopping yesterday and saw a guy with a GGTB outside tesco,s the first person ive ever seen in my area with an e-cig.

They have been on sale at our local Tesco for months.They are pretty awful and do not last long at all.Hope it doesnt put folk off as it would have done me if it had been my 1st.Good for those that "think" they need a lookie likey ciggie though.

All good stuff, although I do agree that the Tesco ecigs won't help too many people stop smoking, hopefully they will allow more people to realise that there are better alternatives out there to what's currently widely available.

It does make a nice change to have some positive news, if you've not viewed the new research on the promoting campaigning thread, go have a browse, it's the most positive thing I've seen since I started eciginng

Strange move putting them on the Pharmacy counter though , I would have thought that to sell them in any great numbers, they should be where the baccy is, perhaps the profits a lot less then ciggys.

For the government yes! I would imagine the profit margin for the retailer is far higher than from cigarettes. I think they're being quite clever by putting them with the 'give up smoking' devices

I asked in my local Tesco's if they would be stocking the e-cig. They said it was only going to be stocked in branches that had a pharmacy area.

Clever move on their part putting them on the pharmacy counter given the price of them, as most folk will more readilly accept the price of them when compaired to things such as the Nicorette Inhalor, which is a rediculous price anyway.

They are stocked in the Tesco flagship store at the Brookfield Centre, Cheshunt, Herts.
