Hi, does anyone else get headaches and feel restless after vaping a lot? I don't know if its because I vape more frequently than I used to smoke or the liquid is too strong or its the PG or VG. I usually buy high PG juice then dilute it with VG and a bit flavour or I buy medium strength if its on offer somewhere. I have a feeling that its vaping too much, when I used to smoke I would for example wait until I TV show was finished before I went outside in the garden for a smoke, but now I vape a little bit when I'm watching TV so I'm vaping more. Same goes for when I'm on my PC I wouldnt dare smoke in the computer room, but I vape quite a bit now.
On my night shift the other night I was vaping a lot because I was bored, usually I get on amending spreadsheets and log books etc and watching vids on my laptop. Since I started vaping I just get a bit lethargic and can't seem to concentrate.
Is it just me?

I agree,i do get headaches and stay awake much later since i started vaping a year ago.I can go to bed at 2a.m and be awake again at 7a.m easily every morning, and feel like ive had a full nights kip.I think alot of it with me is vaping 36mg heavily every day,i do get quite a few nicotine rushes throughout the day and reckon the heavy nic intake affects your body bigstyle?Im no expert but i know for sure it does stuff to me.

Well at least I know I'm not alone. I'm a bit concerned actually, I'm wondering if vaping is ok because I don't vape anything like 36mg.

Ive battled to lower my nic for ages and always failed.I love the strong hit of 36mg but ive developed skin problems and have an irritated scalp and itching all over really Ive been to the doctor and tried many things to clear this issue with no luck at all. When i do cut my nic to 24mg these problems go away immediately but the vape isnt the same for me personally.I know i need to cut back as this skin condition is annoying more than anything and only happens when i heavily use 36mg.Im starting to wander what actual damage such high nic is doing to my body?cant be good im positive of that.

I'd say you need to cut your nicotine strength down Tyne if you're getting headaches and are restless . . . personally, my sleeping has never been better since switching too vaping as I used to get up 3 or 4 times a night for a ciggie, I don't wake up at all to vape. And, at the risk of sounding like everyone's mother . . . I sometimes think we all need to turn off the PC and go to bed at a slightly earlier time. . . . myself included.

I've been having very vivid dreams, wouldn't say nightmares but definitely weird. That seems to have stopped last night though so hopefully it was just an adjustment.

That sounds quite severe, Ian. Have you got a plan?

I asked in another post waht high nic is, some sellers say its 36mg and some half that. I would say mine is between 10 & 18mg because I can't always dilute a nic without losing too much flavour. I am also having wierd dreams and during the day a case of not caring or listening to what people have to say and at work this could be a problem. I might be going over the top here because it might not be the nic thats doing it but VG or PG. I was never a heavy smoker, I might have smoked small cigars and rollups which are high but I didn't smoke as much as my mates and I don't think i am a heavy vaper either although I do vape more than I smoked. Listening to members on here I don't think i vape anywhere near what they do. I suppose if your pumping something new into your body there are bound to be complications somewhere. I did hear people have problems with PG and headaches but not so much with VG but what is the vape like with 100% VG?

PG can in the begining cause irritations such as itching. I suffered with itching in the begining but after taking anti-histamines for a few weeks the itching went away.
VG can cause congestion, I know if I use more than 50% VG in my mixes my lungs feel severely congested.
36mg nic strength I would class as extra high. I started on 36mg but after a couple of weeks of restlessness, mild headaches and twitching when I went to bed I found out that these symptoms were due to vaping high nic and so I had to cut back.
Problem was that my comfortable spot was 20mg only it did'nt satisfy me at all, it just did'nt hit hard enough. But rather than headaches and body poping in my sleep I perservered.
Acouple of months into vaping I bought a GDPT and tried 5v vaping for the first time, and wow what a hit, in fact when I was out and about with my Screwdriver MK2 I could'nt wait to get home to switch to my GDPT.
I now vape at 5v exclusively GDPT at home and my Box 101 on the go and have to say I'm very satisfied now, and no more headaches and twitching.

That might be the answer then to use 5v and less nic,I won't know until Ive tried. I was thinking about buying a GDPT but arn't all PT 5v? I thought that a USB ran on 5v anyway, could be wrong though. I have a PT but its an auto and its pretty crap and I also run it on a external powered USB port. Anyway I will have to look into that. Thanks

I think you'll find the GDPT is streets ahead of any other passthru available in the UK.
A friend of mine uses the normal passthru's (£8.99 from LF) and compared to the GDPT it's pants.
A good quality 2amp AC/USB adapter (Maplin) is a good idea to use it on, or you can get a 2amp hub online pretty cheap.
The Box 101 is every bit as good as the GDPT and is excellent for out and about. The batteries last a good 12 hours heavy vaping for me.

Its a strange one as me and my dad vape and both have these bad skin problems. My dad vapes 18mg PG/VG mix and i vape 36mg 100%PG as VG makes me ill for some reason. We have never in our lives had any problems like these so we know its vaping related.Every time we talk about it we both have the same symptons,i havent told the doctor that i vape heavily as i dont want him saying, well thats whats doing it and its time to quit.Ive been vaping for a year and in the beginning i never had any problems at all,its been over the last 4-5 months that these problems have developed.I know its not only me as i have heard a fair few people with things like this going on.To me its proof that it doesnt matter how long you have been vaping, these things can and do flare up without warning.I cant quit or vape VG as this gives me severe breathing problems.Ive always had alot of allergies including chronic hayfever, so i reckon its just some people are allergic to PG and VG.Ive tried PEG to and that just does me in the same as VG,im running out of options now and may have to knock the lot on the head before long
