I'm still in the habit of having a rollie or two last thing at night; it's purely habit though. I'm not beating myself up about it though as I've gone from about 15 rollies a day to just two and I reckon that's pretty good It's odd that I'm hoping for rain at night as sat on the back doorstep (never smoke in the house) is hopefully going to help me break the habit. Apologies for everyone for the rain; it's my fault Just as an aside; I've noticed the difference in my lung capacity when I'm at the gym. Previously, my lungs would give out before my legs and now it's totally the other way around.

Well, someone must have had a word with someone as the order has finally gone through.
Used Freedom Vape in the end; great service and lovely banana mallow juice! I swear that if I went for the nicotine free version I'd still be addicted to it!

Thanks for the explanation; I now *think* that I know what I'm doing.
Am going to stick with the SR's; now if only I could actually get through to payment on the sites I'm trying to buy from!
Might telephone the order through tomorrow instead

I might leave it then as I don't really have a clue about Mah (don't even know what it is!) Is there a heap of diff between SR and LR then or is it pretty negligable

Ahhh. the answer is...I haven;t a scooby! I've checked on the vape escape site and it says that they are suitable.
ETA just checked the instruction booklet (am amazed that I've actually kept it and not thrown it out!)
it says 750 Mah special power supply; no idea if that means I have the special power supply or not ???
Will double check VE website; keeps crashing on me when I'm trying to pay; v annoying

Hello all
I need some further advice, to add to the great advice already received, if that's ok.
Vaping going well and am really impressed so far. I'm using an Ego and am happy with the battery life etc; I'm also using the carts with the wadding stuff in. I also use the medium strength juice with a 40/60 mix
I need, and love, the throat hit but have found that it's not consistent enough for me; it's fine for the first few puffs but then decreases down to pretty much nothing.
What can i do to improve this.
I did some research on here and can see that people have suggested a LR cart.???
When I looked on one of the suppliers websites it said that it needed a drip tip and this is where I'm a bit confused.
Is that right and, more importantly, is a drip tip easy to use???? or would you suggest a higher strength juice.
I was on about 15 rollies a day if that helps.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm a bit behind you; with only starting yesterday but so far so good. I started with the mini titans and have also upgraded using that deal for the Riva.
Am absolutely determined to quit this time and the E cigs are absolutely amazing; I can't believe they passed me previously.

ok; my parcel arrived today (excellant service by TECC btw). i got the mini e cig as detailed above and although it's great, the battery life is pants so I've already upgraded!
I've now gone for the Riva from a recommendation that I mentioned in my OP; it's another starter kit but has two long lasting batteries. I'll keep the mini for weekends when I'm home so can charge it up at my leisure.
So far so good though; and it's far easier than I thought it would be.
Also just ordered some more juice; the Strawberry menthol sounds lovely and can't wait to try it out.
Thanks again to all that gave their time in advising and welcoming me.

Don't worry, no pressure on me; I'll just keep trying until it clicks and won't beat myself up if I have the odd sneaky rollie.
Am very much liking the cats in the avatar things. My Holly is currently trying her hardest to persuade me that she is in a poor starving feline that has never ever been fed in her entire life despite a pouch of whiskas not one hour ago.

Looks like a nice e-cig at a great price Elli, i was about to say it only comes with one battery, but then noticed you have ordered two kits Hope it's with you soon and you can start your vaping journey yeah, the one bit of advice that I have managed to take in is that to have a spare battery so that one is always charged. Just been to the shop and hopefully, fingers well and truly crossed, have bought my last pack of baccy...here's hoping.

Ellie Honestly and truly, the best thing you can do is take the plunge Buy a kit and some juice (flavoured nicotine liquid for refilling), then you will be able to relate to the jargon. Whatever you buy will eventually need replacing, then you'll be more experienced and know how you want to progress - bigger, smaller, "battery-holder mod", whatever. If you buy TWO of these you will have everything you need to get started and keep going, and if you decide you want to stick with it you can buy different flavoured juices and a better filler for the cartridges... but I won't go into that now, because I firmly believe in just getting started > (that's my vehement determined look ). www.theelectroniccigarette.co.uk/products/starter-kits/titan/titan-510-compact-kit-just-2499-product.htmlThanks soooo soooo much to everyone for the warm welcome. I've just ordered two of the above for a bargain price. Can't wait to get started now. Special thanks to the kindly soul who painstakingly explained exactly how one of these contraptions worked (sorry but I forgot your name and can't work out how to go back). ETA; think I've worked it out now. Ali- you are a diamond. x I promise to report back once my goodies have arrived and I've given them a whirl.

Thanks also for that link; that's my reading material for tomorrow night sorted. Hopefully by the end of next week I shall be well on my way to becoming a non (real) smoker. It's only taken 25 years or so!

Thanks so much for all those that have posted. I like the pictures;
In answer to the other questions; I'm on about 10 rollies a day and smoke Amber Leaf with a filter and have never so much as had a sniff of an E Cig.

Hello all after reading the thread on MSE forum I've joined you as I have information overload and am really really confused. I've seen this offer posted by a member on here: I f you wanted an e-cig as a complete alternative to smoking, then you will need something bigger (more cigar sized) & one of the best deals at the moment is this one using discount code JAN15 -
freedomvape.co.uk/shop/article_10....2%26aid%3D10%26Now, I'm a bit confused as to what all the various bits are used for. i.e the atomisers etc. Can someone kindly please explain what each component is for. Imagine that you are trying to explain it to a small child! Sorry for being a bit dense but it is a bit overwhelming; when I've tried to quit smoking in the past I've just bunged a patch on my arm; easy peasy lemon squeezy! Thanks very much in advance.
