In a way Linda is right. A lot of the people vaping now - and taking up vaping in the near future - are going to end up smoking when all the decent kit gets banned. Kinda sucks I'm sure the irony would be lost on her that her anti nicotine stance could cost people their lives

I'm a bit of a newbie at all this techie stuff so thought it best to put this question out there to all of you guys...
I have a Kanger EMOW vv1300 battery and have been using a Kanger protank mini 3 on it this week. All fine (in fact it was my favourite tank) until today. Suddenly when I use it my battery light starts flashing multi coloured after each draw (flashes 8 times). The vapour is diminishing too. The battery is fully charged and doesn't do this when I use any other tank on it so it does seem to be the tank...
I wondered if it needs a new coil (already?!) but from what I read, there would be a burnt taste if it did. But no burnt taste, just very little taste and a flashing light.
I took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together but no difference. The juice I've been using is 50/50
any clues, tips or ideas welcome!
thanks

apologies if this is already linked to on here but this is a blog that is definitely worth a read. This professor has been working in the field of tobacco control for 25 years and is up in arms about the lies being used to try to ban/control vaping: linky

well I'm not going to judge! I'd be having a sneaky one too if that was the only option. Just a bit surprised as this is what Heathrow has on their website: "Electronic cigarettes Passengers are permitted to use electronic cigarettes within our premises, however, these should not be used beyond the gate area. Where you are intending to carry cigarettes in your hand luggage, please check with your airline to ensure they are allowed on board the aircraft." I thought there'd be happy vapers everywhere Mate of mine flew out of heathrow fairly recently and said there were vaping zones, bit like the smoking ones they used to have, my only experience Is with gatwick and southampton, and they do not permit it apart from the smoking zones that are outside, they spout the usual rubbish ie someone else might see the smoke/vapor and light up disappointed (if not entirely unsurprised) to hear that some airports have banned vaping within the buildings. It is such a moralistic cop out on their part. All it would have taken was to stick a sign up and says - 'vaping permitted in this area - no smoking'. I'm sure there are suitable smoke alarms that can differentiate between smoke and vapour to police it.

Its also possible to hold the vapor long enough in your lungs so it doesn't blow a cloud I can't possibly confirm or deny if that works in cinemas no...I'm sure you couldn't possibly...!

Heathrow used to have vaping zone, but that might have been shut now. Gatwick only allows vaping in the smoking zones, , unfortunately nothing once you're in the departure lounge, I normally take an ego with e and have a sneaky vape in the loo, naughty I know well I'm not going to judge! I'd be having a sneaky one too if that was the only option. Just a bit surprised as this is what Heathrow has on their website: "Electronic cigarettes Passengers are permitted to use electronic cigarettes within our premises, however, these should not be used beyond the gate area. Hubby recently went off on a business trip via Heathrow airport so I duly dispatched him with a shiny new vape-stick in hand. But he spotted no other vapers at Heathrow at all and wasn't brave enough to get it out. I told him to ask the bar staff but he 'didn't like to...' *sigh*
Anyone else use one at the airport? if so were you the only one? whereabouts did you use it? did you get any reactions - positive or negative?
I know they allow it as I checked their website...
seems there is still a long way to go to integrate vaping so that everyone knows where they stand and that non-vapers know what it is.
and whilst I'm climbing on the soap box, I might just mention that I really don't like the term 'e-cig' I would personally rather that vaping was disassociated from smoking altogether, it may help get some of those 'it looks like smoking so therefore I condemn it' types off their bandwagons...

In all honesty if vaping were around when i was a nipper i would most likely have picked that up instead of the fags, whether i would have kept at it for 27 years like i did with smoking though is debatable. I wouldn't be so daft as to say it's not addictive at all but i can say for me personally i don't get the craving for it like i used to for tobacco, i don't get fidgety or ratty if i don't have a vape so i would say there is some other component to tobacco which drives addiction beyond the nicotine. I think quitting vaping would be nowhere near as difficult as quitting smoking. Some people are just going to do stuff they know isn't good for them and others won't, i was always one of those people that went for the pleasure and figured i would worry about the consequences later. I knew smoking was unhealthy before i started smoking it wasn't like my parents generation where smoking was thought to be harmless i knew the risks but didn't care, i tried it and genuinely liked it and continued. I'm sure if available at the time i would have tried vaping instead but i would have had a damned sight easier time knocking it on the head when it became less of a pleasure and more of a need. I don't care how many laws they bring in or how much campaigning they do they're never going to stop kids trying things like smoking.drinking, drugs etc the only sensible and reasonable course of action is to provide the information on the dangers and make the activity as safe as possible for those that do decide to do it. Prohibition to me is akin to burying your head in the sand and making what should be a public health issue into a criminal one, it's modern day puritanism. POST OF THE DAY! I'll second that! spot on dr00g

Hello & welcome dinks from across the Tamar I used to be a very heavy smoker & tried everything to give up, but would just end up crawling up the walls & tearing my hair out. Until I bought my first e-cig, coming up to 7 years ago. I cut down drastically straight away & I thought that was a miracle. Lol, I think I'm also still in shock that I eventually gave up the last 2 a day - still have to pinch myself to believe that I no longer smoke For me, the health benefits have been amazing & the financial benefits, even better wow! well done for sticking with it - I'm not sure that I would have much success with 1st generation e-cigs (which I'm sure was all that was around 7 years ago) - and yes! miracle just about describes how I feel about it too! thanks so much for the welcome

Hi dinks to the forum. Hope you manage to keep off the stinkies. The scare about losing your teeth is real. I can vouch for that. No front teeth left, and still waiting for my gums to settle down so I can get implants. Around £8k I wish I had started vaping sooner nasty price! good luck with the implants and thanks so much for the welcome

Welcome dinks and 'snap!' I too couldn't believe I could quit and managed to light up through many a serious illness, so its a complete revelation to find that vaping works (if like me you'de tried all other options) Congratulations and I am now a vape bore, I polish and clean my vaping gear far more enthusiastically than my efforts as a housewife... and I also lie about my spending ---- but regardless its a fraction of teh expense of smoking thank you and yes, talk about cost effective...I've even upcycled my ashtray!!
