I've just read through some of the comments on this article on the BBC news website and I'm just astounded at the ignorance some people show on the subject of vaping, here are just a couple of trinkets. "It says on the tin "e-cigarette" so the word cigarette still there, therefore it is bad for your health. If one is so determent to stop smoking she/he will be able to do without the need for e-cigarette which contains nicotine. Please be humane to yourself and just stop it - it kills. Thinks" Well done to Wales for bringing in this ban. If 'e-cigs' are allowed to continue unchecked, it won't be long before people find ways of inserting real cigarettes into the casings (assuming that's not what they're doing already). Good for Wales I say, and the sooner it becomes law in the whole of the UK, the better.  complete eejits! ok I'm off to try and stuff another rollie into my tank.... |

The big problem is that if vaping is banned indoors in Wales "because it looks like smoking" then that sets a terrible precedent. it's a central part of Drakeford's dogma unfortunately.... I like ASH's stance on this (never thought I'd say that!!)... they basically say that (and I paraphrase shamelessly) 'you've got to be an idiot to be fooled into thinking for more than a split second that someone is smoking when in fact they are vaping' |

Shame on the Welsh Government for not listening. 79% of responses in the public consultation were against the ban: as are Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation and ASH amongst others.
Whether this ban is something that you feel will affect you or not, it is still yet another nail in the coffin of personal freedom; another example of legislation that is not based on fact but rather on emotional response and is being justified by falsehoods. If you don't think this is a problem that will affect you...

Wow! and I thought my collie could jump but he's got nothing on that! (I was very relieved to see that guy help him land gently, my heart was in my mouth for a moment!)
totally agree re rescue dogs - we have 3 right now (used to have 5) and they are the loves of my life!

haven't got either Lidl or Aldi within 20 miles of us here so no choice - would certainly use one for certain things if there was. Same here ...I don't have ANY shops within 20 miles Lol! I've had that too when I lived in the Borders - need to be very organised! |

well you learn something new every day! I've got one of those ultrasonic thingies but have rather oddly just been using it for cleaning jewellery! who knew it would come in handy for my new hobby too? thanks guys I stuck a necklace and an attie in the USC together this morning dinks... easy peasy  Ha! perfect! |

2 weeks today smoke free for me! Yay for me! ok...I know it's not very long but it's the first time I've ever actually managed to quit at all so am feeling terribly proud.
Got to say that vaping takes up a whole lot more of my life right now than smoking ever did; what with researching new shinies, making my own e juice and hanging out on here - and it's no doubt a very good thing as it keeps my mind and hands of the stinkies!
thanks for keeping me company guys, it would have been a tough 2 weeks without you as hubby is off on business travels right now and I work alone from home so it has really helped having this forum.
