Hi all - thanks for all the replies. @ Mrs Sleepy - I haven't, but the old man is going to give it a try. He's ordered some 2.9 ohm pre-wicked coils from here - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221695385697?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITand will dual coil and add a few strands of wick in between. He's been watching quite a few YT videos and is reasonably confident. We've also ordered a Kanger GeniTank Standard to see if it is an improvement on the ProTank3's. prr - thanks for the offer, I'll keep that in reserve for if the old man's fingers aren't as capable as they used to be. jess - I'll order one of those and give it a try. @djs - I checked out the GS Air and it seems to take a different coil, so as I already have loads of the KT Dual Coil "spare" I'll try and sort those out. Brambles - I've tried swapping the o ring for the spare that came with the tank - no real difference. It's still a work in progress, I'll keep you updated. Thanks again - you're right this is a great place for advice.

Hi all, I've been using these for about 6 months now and with the 1.5ohm coils they've suited me really well. However, over the last couple of months, the coils I've been getting have just got worse and worse. I'm using my juice up at twice the rate from before. Both the ProTanks I have show the same problem and I've cleaned them both out a couple of times now and the coils are letting juice through into the battery top ( sealing rings are in situ ). I'm getting through one coil a day instead of them lasting me for a minimum of three or four. They are also spitting and popping as I use them. My only conclusion is the coils are screwed. Does anybody have any recommends for these coils that have been consistently good. I'm lothe to just keep trying random suppliers in the hope of finding a good one.
Thanks all for any advice or recommends.
Anne

I just checked the site as I have never had problems with them and I see it is down with technical problems at the moment. I regularly order from them - my wife likes their juice. Also worth noting that if you order a 30ml bottle you get a second one free. That's good to know as I really like the ones I've tasted so far, they are much softer on the throat than the others, also the flavours are much better. Does the second bottle have to be exactly the same as the first, or can I have "same flavour/different nico strength", or "same nico strength/different flavour", I'm still trying to get a handle on what's what?? Thanks as always. Anne

car147 - my comment was made following on from jeffc's post, it just happened to be the next post after yours, and might well have been written at the same time.

They are all as bad as each other. They tell us that something is bad for us ( smoking tobacco products ) so they tax it and tell us it is for our benefit. Or they tell us something is good for the environment ( diesel ) wait till we all buy diesel cars and then tax it till it costs more than petrol.
The next thing is they'll tell us vaping is better than smoking, ( which we already know ) wait till a high percentage convert, then change their mind and tell us how bad it is ( anyone remember good cholesterol/bad cholesterol?? ) and then tax it ( for our own good of course!!). As long as there is a Government, of whatever political party or affiliation, we're stuffed either way. You're deluding yourself if you think one is better than the other - they are all snouts in the same trough. Cynical??....Moi??

It's back up and running. I've just ordered about a dozen flavours. Only had problems with one flavour, my cappuccino fix:). The website prevented me from adding it to the basket, so I've left a message for Jim. Thanks all for your input and suggestions, I'm gonna have great fun trying out all those new ( to me ) flavours. Banana bread, Apple pie yum, yum!! Almost good enough to eat. For a non-drinker, I've definitely upped my alcohol intake. I've gone for the 70/30 pg/vg mix as I read that that was a good starting point for beginners. Any suggestions or otherwise??

Hi - after browsing on here I noticed JooseJuice got a few recommends. As I'm paying £4 for a 10ml bottle I thought I'd try to order some on the net. I've just been on JJ's website to order some and I'm having problems. Each version that I try to order, I put in the pg/vg ratio, then the nicotine strength, then the flavour strength, but each time it tells me that "The selected variation is not available. " Are they just out of stock across the board, is it a cr@p website, if so can someone recommend somewhere similar please.
Thanks
Anne

Well, I was born near Portobello Road, living in Kensal Road and stayed there for my first 10 years. Slum clearance took me to Putney, leaving home took me to Pinner and East Finchley. Marriage took me to Barnet, kid to Potters Bar, illness and retirement took me to Thanet. From Pinner onwards I was always working, Brent Cross in the mid - late 70's ( Mothercare and Richard Shops ) and then into the centre of London, on High Street Kensington, where I worked for over thirty five years. I absolutely loved being in London, right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of life in Town, but still living in the country. Ill health forced me to give up work, and at first I imagined I would miss the hustle and bustle of London life. Wwrrrooonnnggggg!! We sold up and moved to Thanet, to a pleasant village just outside Margate. We wanted the sea in front of us, open countryside behind us, a village with shops that was big enough for our needs, without forever visiting the Shopping Centres, and to be close enough to London to visit our son, although he moved from Docklands to Wandsworth and made that one difficult!! Short of money and bored, we set up a Home Dog Boarding service, looking after other peoples dogs when they went out for the day or off on holiday. We now have a great life, it's simple, we have truly lovely customers that have become friends and we get to watch the dogs playing and chasing in the garden. The nearby beach walks are fantastic and are often empty out of season, the people in the shops have time to talk to you and are friendly, it is just a great way of life. We did go back into London for a hospital visit and we realised that it holds no pull on us at all. We couldn't get home quick enough. Moving here was the best thing we ever did and had it not been for Doctor's Orders we would probably still be killing ourselves working in town.

Hi Mrdj well done for resisting that ciggie after the meal. I am hoping that I will come to view vaping as a replacement to smoking in the same way as I replaced sugar with sweeteners and not think about it or miss it. I live in hope!!

Thanks all - I was beginning to worry - unnecessarily it seems. That's very re-assuring.

Hi all - I'm new here.
About me - I've been smoking for over 50 years now and having got up to about 40/day I tried on a couple of occasions to give up, one success that only lasted 6 months and the other just petered out. This time I tried at the Chemist, but the Councillor and I differed in our approach, so I left that and my husband bought me some vape equipment. This has been a positive start for me. I've only been using the basic atomisers and batteries over the last month, courtesy of Amazon. I usually have 4 or 5 on the go at any one time, with different flavours, but only the 18mg strength as recommended by my local vape shop.
I will be asking later for equipment recommendations, but I'm happy with my current kit for the time being, let's take it one step at a time.
Reading on here about the comparable nicotine strength/number of cigarettes I used to smoke, my nicotine intake hasn't just gone through the roof, it's gone off into space!! At the moment I'm vaping for England - hubby calls it chain vaping - but hey, I'm not smoking. I didn't realise, until reading some posts on here, that I had probably trebled my nicotine intake:(.
Heeeeellllllppppppp!!!! Has anybody else had this problem, was that how you all started, how did you deal with it??
I'd normally ask for answers on a postcard, but here will do nicely.
Thanks in advance.
Anne
