I think the time is coming to move away from the vtc mentality. All signs point to an inevitable end to them all. Somebody might want to chime in here because i'm not the source of this knowledge but basically sony don't make any of the vtc batteries any more & the vtc4's we still buy are from stock only so obviously once they are gone, they are gone. The samsung 25r seems to be the 'in' battery now but there others on the horizon & there will be others again to follow. Up to 250 charge cycles is the expected life span of the 25r before it hits around 1500mah. I'm certain we will see good batteries with higher mah ratings & safe amp ratings in the coming months.

Sounds like you just havn't got the build right, most likely the wick is the issue. Either not enough wick in the coil, too much wick in the coil or the wrong amount of wick each side of the coil....Or a combination of two of those issues. It could be hindered by higher vg liquid too. I'd take the wick out, check the coil's ok & rewick it & then try again. I think they work well around 1.2ohm (ish)

I only use atomizers suited for mouth-to-lung, most are drippers & 1 is a genesis, a 1.5 or 2mm(max) fixed air hole. I never heard of lung hitting until i vaped & i have no intention of doing it. I vape as i smoked & very little even goes into my lungs unless i want it to. As with all things in life it is a totally individual activity & so to each their own. To the op, we should all follow our own path

The feel of innokin stuff is a different game to the eleaf gear. For quality reasons alone i would go with the mvp3. I should add that i don't own one but i've had the mvp2 & a couple of 20w isticks, different quality.

I like mcv mods but i wouldn't touch a cherry bomber with a barge pole. Does anyone else think perhaps they were having a bit of a laugh with this one ? It's written all over the mod ffs !

I find that it's all in the way i wrap my mesh too. Some wicks work better than others & i havn't quite put my finger on the secret yet. Trial & error with some serious consideration in the build each time & keeping a mental note on what you've done. Then there are different attys that all behave a little differently. I've never read a single testement about a correct way, maybe we're all just fumbling in the dark. When my genny is set up well it's the best vaper ever. Cheers, thats what makes me more eager to get it right, so far its very muted. One thing i thought is ive wrapped the wick too tight, maybe thats it. Im also going to make the air holes a touch bigger and try a different mesh. A 400 mesh is fairly forgiving. As for the air holes, a good genesis that has a tight draw - has it for a reason so if you go too open you will destroy the vape. I'd say to drill out a little is sometimes a necessity but try & go up in increments, harder to put back than to drill out. if you opent the air hole too much it will change the atty & then the thing will only be any good for cotton builds (Yuk)

I prefer my drippers & genesis all around 1.2 - 1.5 ohm & at about 10 to 13 watts, sometimes a little more wattage, whether on cotton or with mesh. My liquid goes further, the flavour is very good & the vapour amount is plenty enough for me. Yes i have used some sub ohm builds in rda's but not for long time, i got so far & then turned back the other way. I do feel that the evolution in sub tanks & high wattage ditract from vaping as the measured & rounded experience that i always strived to achieve. I'm still into the slightly tighter draw & a mouth-to-lung method. I suppose that i strive to get good at my way but whatever else people like must all be good. The notion that sub ohm gives better flavour is, as always, a subjective matter & there's only one way to find out if you agree or not.

I'm vaping away here with the Anima rda, a single 1.3ohm verticle micro coil & a 400 mesh straw. RY4 never tasted so good.

I nearly made a joke about leatherface but then i figured he could be some guy with facial scarring or something ! It may be American but it's positive & they are doing it.

So long as my fun doesn't get stamped on by some interferring body then i intend to enjoy my ry4 as an ongoing activity. 8mg-12mg is my happy place, below that i get no satisfaction & i vape like a chimney.

I'm impressed. I'm a boring fart with my normal single coils, don't go in for coil experiments myself but that there, that is a very nice job.

Thanks for the op & the idea of a safe battery list is a good one too.
