in the box theres 2 small cartos, at least i think they`re cartos, but they are so small they surely wouldnt last more than 2-3 cigs worth. i can understand that the cover goes over it to make it look all the same, but why isnt it the same size as the kanger ones? I could be totally wrong but I think the smaller ones you are talking about are atomisers, which is basically a two part thing you have to fit together. They come with the Riva as standard. The Kanger ones are cartomisers which is basically the atomiser and the tank all in one unit, so you don't have to take it apart. I think. Haha.

With any of the tabac flavoured juices, they'll be a representation of that tobacco flavour - rather than the actual thing, I hardly vape those types of flavours now, there's so many other yummy ones to experiment with and savour! Been thinking about this myself, as I still have yet to get my first e-cig, I've seen lots of people say they end up not liking the tobacco flavours and switch to others. I may get a small sampler set along with the e-cig so I can try a few different ones, though I don't want to end up spending shedloads of cash (as I don't have shedloads to spend!)

Aha so your Riva did come.
I see on some vaping sites Brian that you can get different coloured bungs for the cartomisers, to help you keep track of your flavours.

Hrrrrmmmm I am also reading that the tobacco flavoured liquids can be very disappointing, as they don't get close to the real thing, and a lot of people end up preferring other flavours. Maybe I should get a pick n mix.

Lol, I do know what you mean though, I think they look more classy with a silver band The gold makes it look slightly cheap and tacky tbh. I suppose you could always take it to bits and spray it a different colour with some kind of heat proof paint.

Maybe I'll just have to overcome my hatred of gold! If I can overcome the fags and move on to a vaper, I'm sure I can do that.. haha.

Good morning all, and hi to all the new folk who have replied since I was last here. At the moment I am still wavering a bit on my decision of which e-cig to get. Still verging toward the Riva, but the way I see it is that this is a major purchase since it's something I will hopefully be using every day for the foreseeable future! I think I get the idea that the ones that look like / are the same size as real cigs are not as good since the batteries tend to be crap. Also sure that I want a manual battery. What do people think of these e-cigs that come with a charging case that charges your batteries on the go? Are they any good? I was looking at these: www.jacvapour.com/Sport_and_V1P_PCC_kits-V1P_PCC_starter_kit.htmlwww.jacvapour.com/PCC_kits-Excel_-_Starter_Kit.htmlThe main problem with the above being, I think, the low power batteries, but they do charge on the go. And also the VGo: www.jacvapour.com/VGo_starter_kits-Vgo_starter_kit_1.htmlWhich is a bit more expensive than the Riva, has 650mah batteries. No charging case, but who agrees that they look pretty damn COOL???? I know it sounds stupid and petty... but the main thing I don't like about the Riva is the gold coloured band around it. I HATE gold... haha.

I was a 40/50 a day cigarette smoker, coming up to two years ciggie free now . . . I loved to smoke, never wanted to give up . . . but if I can make the switch, then I'm sure you'll be able to as well. 40/50 a day, AARGH. I'm getting to the point now where I don't even kid myself that I still enjoy smoking... a few per day maybe, like first one in the morning, or when having a beer, the rest of the time it's just an automatic thing to relieve nicotine craving. Maybe one day I'll be able to quit completely, who knows.

I have one quick question: How many refills / top-ups will a cartomiser usually last before you have to chuck it and start a new one?

Atomisers and cartridges are great for testing flavours out and for those times when you can laze around and top up frequently. But, cartomisers provide a better long term solution IMO. You can also have a bit of both if you prefer - 1 Atty, empty cartridges and 1 pack of cartomisers. There's lots of help on the forum and a section full of pics and vids if you need to get a bit more info. Huurrm, yeah the empty cartridges that come with it won't be much good to me if I get cartomisers instead will they? Still a bit confused on some things but ah I'll get there. It will be interesting to see how much use I can get from a cartomiser as I'm quite a heavy smoker, about 30 a day usually. The cost is crippling. Tried switching to rollies but I HATE them.
