2 days on one charge, that's superb, do you vape heavily? I've got RY4, plus Grizwald vanilla tabac, and Grizwald gingerbread. I'm bursting to try the gingerbread one tbh hahaha!! I have to go out this evening though so I'm not going to be able to sit and fiddle, daammnn.

Riva manual: Charge for 8 hours, then use for 20 minutes, then charge for 1 more hour. Then after that three hours a time for a full charge.

Yeah but I've read a lot that the liquid can have a really crap taste if you don't leave them to soak for at least 12 hours or whatever, the longer the better?

Thanks Jason... Just having a look at all the bits and trying to familiarise myself. I've just filled up three cartomisers, which I actually found very easy considering all the discussion about what's the best way to do it, and so on. I just removed the bungs and dripped liquid onto the filler a few drops at a time until they were nice and wet. I will be leaving them overnight for a good soak as is recommended. Apart from that I haven't done anything else as the batteries need charging (didn't realise you had to charge them for 8 hours the first time), so I'll do one overnight and then perhaps try my first vape tomorrow. OOOEERRR!!!  |

Did you find the cartomisers easy to fill, Brian? This is probably the one thing concerning me the most at the moment, that I'm going to make a hash of it. I think I will leave them overnight to soak before using them, as I've seen many people recommend, to avoid being put off by the crap flavour that seems to happen if you use them too fast.

These extremely cheap things on eBay are always going to be a bit suss... hey I bought a nose hair trimmer on eBay for £1 and guess what it was a piece of crap that I threw in the bin after trying it one time, and now a year later my nose hair is a foot long.

WELL.... I've taken the plunge!
I ordered the Riva 1100 kit from Jason, with cartomisers, along with 10ml of RY4 liquid, and two 5ml bottles of the Grizwald samplers (Vanilla tabac and Gingerbread) to see if I like the sweeter flavours.
That's it, no turning back, haho!

Thanks for the quick replies! Not sure which way to go. Drip/atomisers or cartomisers and are there any brands that are best suited for the riva 1100? price will be an issue to as I don't want to replace one expensive habit for another! Same here mate, I'm looking to improve my health but another huge factor for me is the cost of smoking 30 cigs a day, which is insane and I just can't afford, so I'm looking to save as substantial amount as possible. From what I've been reading the cartomisers are less hassle and last longer because hey hold more liquid. The Kanger and Boge cartomisers seem to be two of the most popular. Then again I'm a newbie too and still dithering over everything myself! |

Ok, so my mobile phone can be charged either from USB or from the mains, and has an adaptor plug that the USB lead plugs into. Could I plug an e-cig USB charger into it and use it to charge, thus removing the need to buy a seperate adaptor for the e-cig? It's the same thing isn't it? Or am I being completely dense and going to make my e-cig blow up and set the house on fire?
