Oh yes, I'm reducing the patch to half strength from tomorrow - fact, I might try it without and see if the total reached with the vape is enough. All the same, my long term aim isn't to replace one habit with another, so I'm going along the route of reducing nicotine gradually - get shot of the patches, keep vaping and reduce the dosage of that; eventually to zero. Bearing in mind I was using half an ounce of baccy/day - roughly 50 rollups of Old Holborn, so my system was quite used to a high nicotine and tar content. Well, that's effectively day 2 of the erzatz 510 and I managed to keep fag-free all morning and afternoon; only had a couple of rollies at teatime and one or two at midnight. The e-cig definitely keeps the cravings away 99% and that other 1% is something I'm working on |

Cheers, Perpetua, Andy and Chrissie. What threw me was the two fitted carts had no wadding in them, but the supplied extras did. I put six drops into one of them and ended up with a nice vape I've only smoked a couple of rollies since this afternoon - mostly I've been picking up the vaper and having a puff or two every 30 mins or hour. I've been having smoke-free evenings for the past couple of months - from 7pm to midnight - honestly, it was getting to be a bit of a strain; and this evening with the aid of the vaper every hour, I had no cravings for a fag at all. What I'd like to do now is get used to it, get some spare bits and pieces (in case something breaks, I'd hate to be left without a working one) and gradually reduce the dose. ps. the flavour of the extra juice was just listed as being 'tobacco' so I didn't know what to expect. Turns out it's 'Yunyan', which I think is a Chinese cigarette brand. Tastes ok |

Well, it just arrived a couple of hours ago and I've had a few/many puffs from it - seems ok so far, but I'll see how it lasts. I really have to start off a fresh day with it, instead of lighting up a roll-up.
Batteries on charge and I'm looking to see how to refill the supplied cartridges.

Farz, I hope we haven't put you off coming back & letting us know how you get on with it  As you are already down to 15 ciggies a day, the Mini 510 you have ordered should be OK for you. I was just a bit concerned as to what you did actually get in the kit for your money Oh, I'll keep you up to date with how I get on with it. It's only ordered two/three days ago and shipping might take up to a fortnight. I'm finding this forum dead interesting; I hadn't a clue there was all this vaping going on |

Thanks for the Hi's everybody It seems that this one comes with two batteries - one manual, one auto, but sometimes both manual (depending on who packed it). I'm not too bothered - if it gets me started and lasts for a couple of weeks or a month, I can put some money aside for something better. I'm taking a chance on parts being interchangeable with others, but it seems they are, so spares shouldn't be a problem - I'm willing to be corrected on this It will end up like Trigger's Broom, I'm sure. |

The number of fags has come right down; from 50/day to 15/day and I've decided to vape for a while with the aim of tapering it off.
