So, this guy went into the petrol station KNOWING he couldn't pay? Desperate, just desperate, and he must have known the likely shote he was about to get fired at him. I'm on both sides - I feel sorry for the guy (assuming he's not just a chancer) and sorry for the petrol station owners. They get ripped off several times a week.
A similar thing happened to me - once by accident when I filled up and to my horror realised that I'd left my wallet and chequebook at home (this was back in the days when cheques were normal). The PS owner asked me to leave my newly-acquired wristwatch as some sort of security. Years later, at the other end of the country, my employer asked me to carry on a journey and collect an item to bring back to base. I had no money on me at all and was running out of fuel two hundred miles from home. Luckily, a PS owner listened to my story, allowed me to phone my employer who used his credit card over the phone and paid for a tankful. So, they're not all bastards, but they do get sick of being ripped off.

I might have a look at this 45mg technique. I've found that since I cut down from 24mg to 18mg then to 12mg I've tended to chain vape as my body is still wanting more nicotine. It takes a slight effort to overriide that, so no big deal, and it's quite easy to put the comfort stick down for ten minutes or so. One huge advantage I've found to vaping is, that even on the lower strengths, if I'm getting on with something that needs full attention and hands busy, I don't need to stop for a puff, unlike in the fag days. I can just get on with things and find an hour or two has passed without a vape and without feeling the craving. The tendency to chainvape is at its worst when I'm sitting in front of the telly or pc - but that's just a physical habit I always had when smoking.

If you want something that Holds a good amount of Joose and gives good flavour I would say try a Vision Vivi Nova. I got one and it is excellent, I also got the steel tube to fit it as I am nervous about glass and plastic getting broken too easily Oh, I like the look of that - €12 from my nearest stockist and fully rebuildable with two spare heads - bargain.

Is there such a thing as cheap toilet roll? Oh gawd, yes. The Lidl recycled toilet roll (now there's an image to conjure with) is irritating, bleached, nasty and not very strong (which has its own downside). Conversely, an extra quid in Lidl gets a pack that's immeasureably better.

I like sticking my finger in the dogs ears & wiggling it about......They seem quite keen too................However, that isn't what this thread is about, but I needed to air it.................... All my cats have gone cross-eyed when I've put a finger in each ear (theirs, not mine) and wiggled them.

A couple of years ago somebody told me about grating some dark chocolate into chili con carne - I haven't tried it, but it's supposed to be quite good.

They are lol!! All credit to her Maj (not Madonna lol) for doing that spoof........ shame they couldnthave got either Sean Connery, Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan for the Bond in the............. Daniel Craig is not Bond in my view!! Oh, I dunno. The Connery and Craig Bonds both have the essentially trained thug in a dinner jacket approach to life. There is a rawness about Bond that Moore, Dalton, Brosnan failed to capture. Lazenby wasn't actually too bad it, pity he crashed and burned elsewhere.

@ Dreams He possibly assumed it was an opium pipe - in which case his observations would have been spot on

I went through the school years of having a fag behind the bike sheds, and never got the habit, because I never inhaled and it was infrequent. Then at age 17, I broke my leg in a bike accident and started smoking properly in hospital - it was normal back then. If only it had been disallowed in hospitals I wouldn't have done it because it wouldn't have been available and I wouldn't have missed it. Things went downhill from there - a decade of ordinary fags, followed by three decades of rollups. Actually, for the majority of that time my habit wasn't all that bad - often as few as ten/day - it was only in the past five years or so that my consumption ramped up to 50/day. I blame the NHS

Peanut butter (Smooth) sandwich made with Granary seeded bread and thinly sliced FRESH onions layered in there is lovely! Delish. Oh, you need some extra-mature thinly sliced cheddar in there and some HP sauce, lightly spread over.
