I'm as old as the hills some days, yet as fresh as a frisky kitten some others. I prefer to be as old as I feel and because I've got a motorbike or two, I'm as young as I want to be. If you want to feel younger, get a younger partner If you want to be younger, get a bike.

Are you for real? It's not the couriers fault the tax man wants his share is it! The charge is excessive yes, why not refuse to pay the ridiculous fee but pay the tax and see what happens? Would you care to read what I wrote and not what you think I wrote?

Bummer, just been stung for £16 duty on my order, first time that's happened since buying from China Doh! Still worked out at 60% saving for me though so I can't complain really. I think anything shipped DHL is at a much higher risk tbh, so it's worth bearing in mind when ordering DHL, UPS, FEDEX; they will all deliberately present parcels for duty collection and charge you for the 'service' on top of the duty. Nice little scam for them. The normal post, slower, usually avoids that.

Rule of thumb, if you haven't got your order in four weeks, then worry, any time before that is normal delays. Exactly. There's a lot of people in Europe have lost sight of the fact that this stuff is coming from the other side of the world. There are a lot of eejits (not here, in general) who have been so used to a fast, efficient delivery sytem with their home postal service, they seem to think that free shipping from China should somehow get here within a few days. Like you, I'd rather wait and take my chances - the free shipping from many Chinese vendors is a real purchasing persuader for me; there's no pressure on combining items to maximise postage cost efficiency (but I often do that anyway, as I dislike waste) and it means I can buy sets of things spread out over a few weeks or months and have paid nowt to get them here. I'm sure the Chinese govt subsidises the cost of low-level postage to small and medium enterprises - hence, the free postage. It's been going on with Chinese ebay suppliers for years now.

Now that's interesting farzooks, I was considering getting a Lavatube, and I have 2 Vamos! What does the Vamo do that the Lavatube doesn't? Andy Well, I have a Mk1 and a Mk2 LT and whether they've improved recently, I don't know. The early ones only control voltage and do a good enough job at that, but the difference between them and the variable wattage of the Vamo makes it a whole other ball game.

I've decided I need another Vamo. Not want; need. It's that important The old Lava Tubes ain't cutting it any more - after the Vamo they just lack something; and yet, for months I was happy enough with them. Ho-hum, off to Fastech next week, I suppose. Again.

Hmmm. Now I don't know what's the genuine Vivi and What Isn't any more. Even the ones I bought early on as supposedly genuine Vision VN, might not be. To get around this I had to order three lots of coil heads that look as if they'll fit both types, one way or other.

I've been thinking about giving dripping a go and I'm looking at ordering a couple of cheap drippers from FT. I've noticed some of there drippers have brass posts and I'm sure I've read a thread somewhere stating that brass posts are no good, something to do with brass reacting with eliquid. Can anybody enlighten me in this subject a little before I take the plunge into the world of dripping It's a very personal thing; brass and stainless steel give me lip chapping no end and I avoid all metal drip tips now. Apart from that, brass tasted awful, like sucking manky old pennies.

I'm really enjoying my VG-only mix; it's got rid of the lip chapping sometimes the feeling the top of my tongue is coming off I'm not too bothered by the low throat hit, as there's still some effect, but it's not a big deal. I was able to find some pure nic base and dilute that to 60mg for stock in the fridge, then make up lesser quantities in normally-available benchtop stock of around 20mg. Next time I'll aim for a lesser conc, as I've been used to 10 or 12mg for months and I think I'll dilute this 20mg down some more. So; VG all the way, with only PG in flavourings - works for me

Many people overlook the smartphone as a recording device. It does the job remarkably well, with the right (free) app.

Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?
1. "Look, Kid; if I tell you, will you remember the answer?"
2. "Sorry, Kid; you've reached the limit of my knowledge on that subject, try something else."

The 10% +2mph 'rule' isn't anything but a recommendation from ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) and various forces can abide by that, or not, as they choose. Some areas are under the thumb of right nasty sods and rigorously enforce the limits with little to no tolerance, while others are rather more flexible. Brunstrom is a case in point - proper little Hitler, he was.
