hello guys, thank for stopping by my goal currently is to try and get some hearty and/or tobaccoish flavors/mixes going. which seems to be quite difficult, since most stuff ends up beeing on the sweet side. Callipitter Chow from MomnPops, hard to explain the flavour but it's not sweet but it's not savoury, goes really well with any tobacco & pretty much any custard receipt to add a certain odd twist. i have calipitter chow here. but it is so sweet i didnt even list it. i agree tho that in very small doses, it might be a good additive to tobacco flavors My current favourite tobacco is ginger backy Capella gingerbread 5% fA golden Rollie 2% To coin a phrase it bloody ansum it is. Also check out @kreeds backy recipie its unusual but very moreish is the ginger bread also on the sweet side ? i would think so since it is "backery" ? Kreed's Baccy TPA DK Tobacco - 3% TPA Kentucky Bourbon - 3% TPA Hazelnut - 3% CAP Caramel - 3% CAP Marshmallow - 2% TPA Acetyl Pyrazine - 1% Saline(0.9%) - 2 drops per 10ml hmmh caramel and marshmallow sounds sweet, saline makes it salty. where does it end up ?

update on "4. Pink Spot USA Menthol Blend": had to test it after 2 days steep. its actually quite nice. its the virginia type tobacco flavour from swagger as well + a hint of menthol. just enough for throat hit, not numbing. there is some sweetener in it but not much. they also have a non menthol variant of the USA Blend, i will try it in the future to check if there is even less sweetener. the americans tend to add mint/sweet to menthol. i would rate this 2nd after Gold Ducat. so now i have 2 non-sweet, or almost non-sweet flavours. looking for input

hello i would like to start a little brainstorming on non-sweet flavors including, but not limted to, tobacco flavours. when i started vaping i went straight for fruit and sweet flavours and never looked back. i think i have meanwhile vaped every ice-cream, sweets and desert flavour possible lately i am getting a crave for some less sweet, but instead spicy/savoury/hearty tastes. i have allready ordered some tobacco type flavours and started testing. i thought maybe other mixers want to join in. i know there are a couple of premium liquids out there like pipe sauce for example, but in the long run those are much too expensive at my liquid comsumption per day. 1. Pink Spot, Swagger 20%: not bad, malty/nutty/caramelish but too sweet 2. Pink Spot, Curious George 20%: this stuff is awesome, banana + the virginia type tobacco flavour from swagger, but also just as sweet as swagger 3. Pink Spot USA Menthol Blend 18%: steeping, will update 4. Flavour Art Maxx Blend 2%: not exactly bad, sweetnes is ok, but too nutty for my taste, not exactly hearty or spicy 5. Inawera Gold Ducat 3%: this is the clear winner for me so far, smells and tastes like a mixture between pipe tobacco and cigarillos. only mildly sweet. 6. Inawera Vanilla Tobacco Pipe 3%: not fully steeped yet (will update when ready). really decent vanilla flavour, but very sweet and only marginally tobaccoish so far it seems i only found 1 real unsweet/tobacco flavor i like: gold ducat. but i want more i think the nutty based tobacco flavours i dont really like. maybe i need to find a few based on licorice and with a salty undertone ? what do you guys think ?

hehe well to breathe or not to breathe is the question. if you use plastic, depending on type of plastic, you allow air to enter/leave. could as well breath a glass bottle once a day or for a fixed time (1/2/3 weeks) straight. effect is the same: you allow air to react with the liquid. for good or for bad.
caramel i need to see. not sure ill be able to get flavour west. it doesnt seem to be common in germany.
i tried sweet cream before. but i forgot which brand it was. cap or tpa i think. it did not do anything good for me. instead of creamy i got old and rotten. your milage may vary. might want to sample it before doing a batch with it.

i have meanwhile tested all the samples igual. the dragon custard i can not enjoy, looks like i dont like dragon fruit (never tested before). spiced custard is funny, i like the taste of the "spiced christmas cookie" in it. i experimented with that flavour in the past and while i like it, my taste buds seem to tire extremely fast to(from?) that taste, resulting in basically loss of the spiceynes after 20 minutes of vaping. krimblefart is definately interesting, not just the name, its mandarine i taste in there right ? all three samples have in common that the additional flavours overpower the vanilla taste for me unfortunately. i can hardly make out vanilla or custard notes in them.
soooooo. with everything tested the facts: none of the samples tastes like rubber glove, even the one with ddl in it. also i dont seem to enjoy the french vanilla deluxe. none of the samples have the strong caramel taste i experience in gvc.
i will probably settle for a hybrid: CLC but swap french vanilla for caramel. never tested straight caramel flavours, so i need to figure out if i want tpa caramel, tpa butterscotch or tpa caramel candy. might order all 3 and see what i like most.
steeping will be done without breathing for 1-2 months in my standard brown glass bottles.

3rd package was from me bud , hope you enjoy 3rd one is krimblefart. Sorry my writing is worse than a doctors lol. krimbleFART .... O.K. from smelling and putting 1 drop on back of hand and lickup test i can allready tell those three will be an experience testing Don't forget though, that the samples I sent were very, very well steeped larokka . . . . so any ' rawness ' from the D de L had long gone. I wouldn't dismiss it completely as being the source of your Rubber Glove taste. no i wont, steeping and breathing (cap off) is still on the table as source of problem as well as FUBAR flavour concentrate. i need some time to try (and retry) all the samples you guys sent me. i cant continously vape VC, i need to take breaks and vape a tank or two with something else in between, let my tastebuds reset. will turn back to the rubber glove thing when i double tested everything. i´ll be back =

small update: -Perpetuas GVC clone does also not taste like rubber glove, but i can clearly smell the DDL in it. which is odd since i thought the dulce would be the source of the problem. will have to keep investigating. -i might not like french vanilla deluxe. i experience it as pretty "perfumish" and not really "vanillish" if that makes any sense. it is in CLC and the "cupcakeworld" VC (which i dont know if its from Igual or Paulo) -the 3rd sample package arrived today (also without sender adress so i dont know from whom). it contains "Spiced Custard" "Dragon Custard" and a 3rd bottle i can not read Starts with "K". they came in a small purple cloth bag. YOU GUYS SPOIL ME !!! you are all awesome !!! thank you again and again ! i will report back.

greetings custardy friends. 2 packages arrived today. i got Perpetua´s and one package without an adress label on it. so i can not tell who the sender is. but it contains a 30 ml bottle based on cupcakeworld custard @12mg nic. first of all thank you guys again for the samples, you are awesome ! so. i just finished the surf rider in my tank from earlier today, cleaned up and filled in Perpetuas CLC sample. i will not lie: it had me frightened and i wasnt wrong. 18mg coupled with the colour (it was probably brown a while ago, now almost black[Perpetua told me it was well aged]) = i knew i was in for a rough ride i needed to wait a few minutes until my room stopped spinning around me before i could type this. the good news: NO RUBBER GLOVE ! AT ALL ! only partly good news: its hard to taste the custard through the nic. i have been vaping 6mg since 10 months now with 12 beeing the highest i ever vaped. 18mg tastes like i would actually smoke a cigar with vanilla taste in the background. i didnt expect the nic to be that dominant to be honest. i cant inhale more than once every few minutes or my heart will start pounding. its not bad or anything, tastes almost like vanilla tobaco, nothing wrong with that. but it is probably the nic hovering over everything else. unsure if i will be able to taste the difference between CLC and your GVC clone like this, but i will report back on that. nonetheless the "experiment" is allready a success, since the rubber glove is gone! i will check Perpetuas GVC clone and the Cupcakeworld one later today or tommorow and post again. i cant thank you guys enough. PS: can allready tell CLC´s swetness is very good as is. i was worried if 1% vanillin+ 1% sweetener would be too much for me, but it´s not.

well currently i tend to believe the breathing method. when the rubber taste is solved and i start producing, i will split a batch and steep one half with cap on and one half with cap off (2 weeks). i will probably solve the "breathe or not mystery" in the end and let you guys know.

current "blend-3" is still in one of my cleaned steeping glasses. Hmmmm.... please explain these "steeping glasses" and how you are using them and if they are sealed or not?
hey mate, sure: i usually store my juices in brown glass bottles with a cap like this guy i put them in right after mixing. for VC i use turkish cay glasses for steeping, only filling em to close under half, 50ml per glass, multiple glasses if needed. for the last batch i used plastic bottles with cap off, but since im unsure if maybe the plastic is the source of the evil rubber taste, i went back to glass steeping for blend-3. reasons: when browsing the web a while ago on my custardy quest, i found out artificial vanilla flavours usually come dilluted (sp?) into a special alcohol. i figure thats the alcoholic smell you get on all the vanilla flavours, specially the custards. i also figure that alcohol part is evil (taste wise) and needs to leave. woodruff flavours for example have a similar alcohol smell right after mixing and usually come into their own at the 2 weeks mark, alcohol smell leaves, woodruff smell comes. woodruff doesnt need to breathe tho (cap off) its enough to just let them sit. in fact i think most flavours will just leave if you let them breathe for 1-3 weeks, but VC might be different. back a while when grant sent out unsteeped or half steeped VC, the note he addsto any delivery was slightly different to todays and had a marker to let the VC sit for 7-21 days with cap off. on top of that it is said (in the web, if you search for it) that vanillin crystals (like the ones that are used for custardy love child) also need a pretty long steep (weeks to months) and some O2 to react to develop full flavour. so, with my sherlock work done, i did draw the conclusion that VC juices need to breathe while steeping, maybe 1-3 weeks.
