Double standards my ****, They don't even know what I got up to, have no reason to, and never will. Would you tell a murderer that he had double standards for teaching his children that it is wrong? Truancy is not defending your self, it's running away from the problem, and its also breaking the law. Standing up to the bullies is defending yourself. Every journey starts with a single step, and it's my responsibility as a parent, at their young age, to guide them onto the right path. Truancy, whilst it is a small step, is a step in the wrong direction, and could be the first step down a very bad path. That's my opinion, and how I intend to bring up my children, only you know your family, and it's up to you how you bring up yours.

If I catch my children play truant, they are going to wish they hadn't. Been there, done that and know where it can lead. Not a chance in hell, no matter how big or small, it all starts somewhere!

If that's the case then it works for me too, was just a bit concerned by the "democratic processes" "membership is consulted" and "ECITA is representing the wishes of the majority of its members." parts. In fairness it does say "where appropriate."

Thanks Dave, cheaper than I thought it would be, and looks as if it could last me, and my "posse of vapers" lol quite some time, will buy some and give it a go.

Ordered one of those echo kits off Jason for a friend, he is very impressed with it, after 2 months he still gets more than a day out of a battery, like you though, he isn't a particularly heavy vaper.

Sorry Macca, I missed your response.
I think we have a different batch to you, my wick doesn't droop, it's really short, and if the rubber pushes onto it too much it simply doesn't wick, if I make it so the rubber barely touches the top of the wick, it works a treat, no gurgling, no dry hits, burnt taste or anything else undesirable.
While I'm here, and on the subject though, is there any chance you can link me to the weld I need to get to solve the cracking issues please, I can't seem to find the thread it was mentioned in.

I'm no expert, but I certainly would not buy it, and I wouldn't be recommending it to anybody either.

Interesting answers so far, nobody would go back to smoking straight away, some would put up with the inferior product, some would be willing to break the law, at any cost, to get a better product, and my favourite idea, some would just stock pile, assuming they have enough notice of course.
To be honest, if it was possible, I think I'd stock pile too, then quit when I run out.
But from the options I've posted, the only one I definitely wouldn't do would be to go back to smoking analogues. I think I'd try and quit out right, and only if I failed at that, take the ciggalike option.

I find that with ciggalike disposable cartos (VIP) you can make them last you longer than half a day, but it really drops off quite quickly, so most established vapers would want to toss them out pretty sharpish. However, if you don't toss them straight away, and can put up with it dropping off, it will go on vaping for quite a while before you completely empty it. That's my experience of them anyway. The batteries are awful, there is no 2 ways about that, but a certain company, who shall not be named, you know who I mean, do offer a 1400mah charging case for their batteries, so it is possible, for it to last long enough, although some people would probably need 2 cases and 4 batteries.

I can see your concerns there Perps, reading through the ECITA site (which took blooming hours, for anyone interested) I noticed this, on their "join us" page, which concerned me a little bit...
"We are very committed to fully democratic processes, and the full membership is consulted where appropriate so that we can all remain confident that ECITA is representing the wishes of the majority of its members."
Does that mean that new members are only accepted if the current vendors signed up vote them in. I think I'd rather it was a simple system of achieving a certain standard, before being accepted in. Otherwise there is nothing to stop them refusing competitors. Obviously if it was to be a national requirement, then the regulating body would have to be a little more independent. Apart from that though, I read a lot of good things on their site, the ISE, testing procedures, etc, all good stuff.
