i am thinking ( hoping ) it is a transitional thing, and using high voltage on the LT may be something i might want to taper off for a couple of weeks until it settles down a bit
thx.

Have noticed ( never really when using the nasties apart from heavily when drinking for instance ) a soreness building up at the back of my throat. using off the shelf throat sweets helps but i guess thats not really a solution.
I am vaping a lot, primarily to get used to all the new toys and flavours i have so maybe the throat is taking a bit of a battering.
anyone else have/had the same issue, i would hope will probably go away as my body gets used to what i am doing.
cheers James

Just to add that I have received brilliant and useful assistance from btw Maccafan and Gordy during my short time on the forum already.. no harm in people having differing opinions in my book.. makes for fun and interesting reading

So, without wanting to start another hoo haa between maccafan and Gordy, you are suggesting that i should be able to use the dual coil 1.5ohm tanks at high voltage for more power in the lava tube effecteviley, and that the LCD will be reading out the correct output?
Similarly, with my remaining empty Tanks i can try Smoke Tech DCT single coils 2.8ohm arriving hopefully today as a direct replacement and see how results differ. I understand from fuzzy i'll need to drill a hole into the side of these to use with the tank?
and base my decision on testing the two methods...
So, Gordy, in your opinion me being sold the 3,5m lDCT Dual coil 1.5ohm tank for the LT was a reasonable choice and worthy of persevering with while also experimenting with a 2.8 ohm single coil version as suggested by maccafan??
Incidentally will be starting another thread to help my understanding of the whole voltage/ohm power thing shortly, sorry! and another about a potential health issue i think may we down to vaping
thanks all

Dual coil carts will not give you satisfactory performance on your LT regardless of their spec.. You need to be able to pass 1.6-1.8 amps through each coil for good performance like you are looking for, which will mean a current draw of 3.2-3.6 amps. The LT only does 2.5 max. When you demand more amperage from it, it just drops the voltage. So simply put, avoid dual coils and use single coil carts and you will have much more leeway for adjusting voltage. So ideal setup for you would be a 3 ohm cart at 5 -5.5 volts or a 2.5 ohm cart at 4.5-4.8 volts. 2.5-2.8 ohm carts are standard and easily available and all you need to do is put a hole through them. So that's what I would try first. easily available to fit the tanks? where from thanks?

yep, those ones so you saying i should bin the DCT tanks for the LT? or run them at 4.7 volts? i bought 3 so bit of a waste of cash to bin them. or buy new replacement carts for the tanks,,,, but i should still get better result at about 4.7 until i replace them? sorry, tried to put your reply through google translate but it didn't help

I am using the riva with standard boge carts for most of the flavoured liquids i have ( in fact got the grizwald caramel on the go at the moment )... find i get a good long draw, nice flavour and plenty of vape.
Now ( and this is my primary reason for getting the LT ) I am using the more baccy flavours like HS Delight and cured flue (?) etc. in standard DCT tanks.... appreciate i need to se the voltage to 3.7 because of the tanks, but not getting the nice draw like the Riva. am i doing something wrong? the HS delight tastes better ( less harsh and more vape ) through the RIVA still..... should i be getting 3ohm carts for the LT tanks and using a longer chrome drip tip to get the best from it. i want a big hit and loads of smoke??
more noob questions i am afraid... i'm so rubbish am already thinking i need to get a provari to replace the LT to get the effect i want. and in all likelihood thats not going to make any difference is it?
