I guess it depends what your priorities are. If you favour convenience of not carrying any spare juice or batteries over raw performance then sub-ohmimg may well not be for you. For me I don't find it inconvenient. A unicorn bottle and a couple of batteries in a pocket/bag is unnoticeable to me. I occasionally take my mechanical mod and dripper out for the day which needs topping up with juice every 4 hits and gets through at least 3 batteries.

Just a quick question about the Evic while we're on the subject. Got a bit impatient for the January sales and bought one tonight on EBay from a UK private seller. I asked about the scratch and check sticker and he said he can't see one on the box (box is sealed in plastic). Is the sticker on the box usually? I did find a pic on Google images that looks like the sticker is on the warranty card?

28ml for £2.50 is a bit of a bargain!

Hi catface26 and all you others that are sub-ohming, how much reduction in battery duration are you experiencing. I cannot imagine that I would get the same length of battery life out of a 30 or 40w Istick as I get from the 20w. All I ever read about is the improved taste and the massive amounts of vapour. No one mentions any downsides which I am sure there is. Battery life will always be shorter the higher wattages you vape at. I always use mods with interchangeable batteries though and an external charger so I always have at least 3 fully charged batteries ready. If I go out for the evening I do take a a number of spares depending on how long I'm out for. If it's just a regular work day though and I'm not going anywhere after work, a single 18650 will last 12 hours ish and that's vaping at 50w all day.

One of the most important items that I missed off my list was "duration". The last thing I do each night, before bed, is to make up my following day's unit. A fully charged Istick and a Nautilus tank full of e-juice. Just knowing that I now have all the components for a good 20+ hours vaping is the Bees Knees. So whilst I understand the comments of "don't knock it until you try it", I am still not convinced that sub ohming is worth spending more money on when I already have what I think is the perfect set up for me. Oh, and having spent a small fortune already, developing a veggie garden, I can think of a hundred ways to spend any extra money I have stashed away. I thought i was more than happy with my Nautilus/istick combo until I tried a subtank and I was blown away by the flavour. I never looked back.

For me it just felt like natural progression. I started with a cigalike, then got an Ego-T setup, then I got a 20w istick and Nautilus, then a 30w istick and subtank Nano, then a subtank mini and started building my own coils, stayed with this for quite a while before getting a mechanical mod and dripper and now I've upgraded my mod and tank and have more tanks. All sub-ohm.
Maybe it's just the way my personal taste developed but I always thought sub-ohm kit was kind of at the forefront of vaping technology. That progression through different kit seems to be the standard for everyone that I know IRL who vapes.

P.s Perpetua the cough candy smells amazing finally got round to mixing it today so it's now in the steepy cupboard for atleast a week Hope you enjoy it violetblade . . . . it's not often I say this, but it's good to go from mixing. I didn't find steeping really made that much difference. If you wanted to have a test sooner. Could you point me in the direction of your cough candy recipe please?

Made up 10ml of 10% menthol and 15% Lemon and it's spot on. The bottle I used for the menthol was the end of a sucralose concentrate so I reckon there was 0.5ml left in there. You used 1ml of your menthol mix? Wow... you must really like menthol. Even 5 drops of the crystal solution sends me into menthol meltdown. Is it strong? I do love menthol yeah. it's not as strong as Element's Frost which is one of my favourite juices. So for the final mix I bumped up the menthol to 12%.

I love this scenario, especially after i've has too many pints of something that doesn't agree with me. We end up having a very one way conversation and the instigator leaves wishing that they had kept their mouth shut Remember, you can't lose an argument if the other person can't get a word in. The second typical response i often use if i'm short on time starts with a select four letter word and ends in off! Ha I was a bit pissed by this point and I defended myself a bit more aggressively than I would of done usually. It was just the look on the woman's face when she said "not to mention diecatyl." She clearly didn't even know what she was talking about but just used a buzzword to attempt to insult me. All while taking huge drags on her vile cigarette. I am being hypocritical because I've defended smoking before when I smoked but I've never been smoking and said to someone eating a kebab "It'll kill you eating crap like that."

A friend had this problem with his. The tank wouldn't sit flush on the mod so I think he was over tightening it to try and make it flush which ruined the thread in the mod. He fixed it by making a couple of cardboard washers that sit between the mod and the tank which prevents him from over tightening.

Would explain why it's too warm over 15w I reckon. The more air getting to the coil, the cooler the vape.

Far too hot at 0.5 ohm at anything above 15 normally for me Was the airflow wide open? It is all personal preference at the end of the day but it's called a subtank for a reason.
