Cheers calnorth The paperwork requirements have also changed for next year in China - so faffing about getting me degree cert Apostilled - adding to me fun Oh, and me birthday falls a week or so before me first payday - with the National Golden week holiday just before - so smuggling a bit of old crockery might have been worth the effort to make Vapefest Interesting....who is the accepted endorsement body...UK Govt person like Foreign Office? I guess there's a cost. As an Independent Systems Assessor auditing B?E in Scotland I asked to see (verify) some engineers Quals. 10 years back. WW3 almost broke out...and that was from the english management. Took them 10 days to agree... and hostilities continued for months. Thought they might have snipers on the motorways? I just wonder what they had to do behind the scenes. Solved it in minutes by viewing docs eventually...but the more formal verification was in my mind. No...I thought!

Would love to attend - but reckon that just the travel costs will be draining me money too fast Had to buy the flight back to China - and if its a choice between Vapefest and travel insurance (almost £400 for the year) - the insurance will probably win. With both parents in dubious health the insurance at least helps pay for an emergency flight home if needed You'll need to dig up some of that China artifact stuff as seen on Antiques Roadshow digicig. Anything form the Ming, Ding, Dong, Clonk, Clang (whatever) Dynasty's. Suppose you might need to ship it out first...if you can find the stuff? Thanx for your interesting journals.

It was my laptop, so it seems it is an issue and not just my browser being a pain. Think its a server well away from you thats not responding right. And there are plenty in the chain depending on route to a target site.

Appears the pound moved up a bit today. USD1.31 to 1.32.

I'm yet to use mine, are they any good? oh yes. One of mine went on a brief display wobbly the other day. Either that or its Specsavers again? Reboot (Batt.. unscrew and back) then ok.

This is a little bit complicated at the bottom end I'd say. Not for the spanner folk I suspect. Fitting one seal is spooky enough. Don't think I'll be buying and a clone will make life really spectacular...for a little while?

Same here DiscoDes ... I will give it another week and then get Isobel on the case if it doesn't appear. With the business I once run the main delay was from HMRC posting me a letter wanting their just dues + ParcelForce handing charge...what a money spinner that was at £10 or so a pop. In 8 years one parcel had been opened by guess who and another drenched in NY (US)...nothing ever lost in something like 200 parcels. Shipping via RM Registered/Tracked mail to Europe was a joke. You are often advised that no tracking occurs once the item has left UK shores. So in the case of sleepy Italy a lot of UK traders refused to ship there and awkward Spain. So it should be no surprise that mail sent the other way round is not tracked in UK. It is I think but not for useful Track and Trace website purposes that the Customer has paid for... he/she thinks? Its a recorded bar code in the Bpost/RM system. Someone knows where it is...will they tell you?

Thanks Q , I wasn't sure if it meant Belgium or UK. RM say this on their website: "Your reference number is between 9-21 characters and may be called a barcode or simply a reference". If its come off Airside and escaped HMRC ok then it should be headed to a nearby mail depot. The original Tracking No is recorded by RM but does not transfer to a UK RM type Track number. So if you enter the original No into RM Track and Trace you may see this in the results...a log text button to click: Where has my item been? If nothing results and after all this time you might call RM, but I don't hold out much hope really. Think the complaint then goes back to the shipper.

That's a good way of describing them - substantial bricks calnorth (how did I miss that on the description?). I got mine yesterday...boy my crochet wrist is now sore LOL oh...in other news my Lappy Batt Track No has been recognised on the Parcelforce track page. And thats with their tracking site in limp mode...aka maintenance. So I guess its got thru the E-Tunnel despite half their signalling cabling etc being nicked Calais side?
