domejunky This is interesting re. the coffee filters.....I've always used 'em, right from the 1st NET I made, & have always been told (on ECL) that they were woefully inadequate! What did You use before the coffee filters? Stainless steel scrubbies. Works for draining my brew kettle when making beer. Once the gunk has built up, the gunk filters the gunk - if you get my drift.

Looks quite scholarly to me. Suggests that aldehydes from flavourings or overheating PG/VG are to blame.
Interestingly they tested actual capers, rather than extrapolating from a badly wicked atomiser...

Cheers yourgurnard . Now I think back almost all of the NETs I've previously tried have come already mixed with other strong flavours, which might explain it. My own Old Holborn homebrew experiment had a very strong (almost unpleasant) odor, so I guess I assumed they all would to some degree. On day 3 of steeping the Black Cavendish has started maturing and I can smell something "familiar" from it now, so fingers crossed. I know what you mean when you say potentially good value, but at 80-90p per 10ml of finished DIY ejuice I do consider this top end "premium", so it still needs to be special to justify that cost IMO. I agree the low percentages of these commercial NET concentrates is baffling. These stixx Mixx juices are so clean too, so whatever filtration process they use it is extremely effective and maybe it is this that concentrates the NET juice even further? Whatever, if that transfers to less coil gunking then it will justify the higher price for sure. I don't expect to like all of these, but if I can find one among them that fits the bill I'll consider it a result. As these are pure NET's with no additions the recommended steep time is quite short at 2 weeks, so I guess we'll know soon enough :-) I've just started using coffee filters for my NETs. Made them super clear, reduced the gunking to the point that I'll use them on cotton rather than just mesh. But I'd noticed a considerable drop in flavour. I used to use them at 10-15%. Post filtering I need 15-20%

Brilliant, I've got loads of BSP fittings from Brewing I'm thinking MOSFET and 3D printing the chassis. Been looking at these membrane switches. People are replacing the switches in BBs with them... m.ebay.co.uk/itm/253100305796

Ok not really a billet box but really happy with me new black boro tank. Can't find where you initially documented this. What did you use for the drip tip nut? Where did you put the fire button? That top left nodule for the magnet would worry me with shorting the battery....did you cover it?

NickIconJust started using this. ELR felt like it was beginning to groan. The subscription model and something about the UI of AllTheFlavours didn't click for me. Dot1ml is perfect... I did have a strange issue where it had assumed my Nic was a different gravity and underestimated its weight - but a clicked 'auto' and now it is fine. Might catch users out though. Would be nice to change the visibility of recipes to the public though. So that I could hide unfinished recipes. Might make the signal to noise ratio of visible content better...?

I got a parcel Amazon. I have an Amazon account, but I've never used it. The parcel contained a strapless silicon bra - a huge one. Amazon didn't seem concerned when I phoned.

I pulled out of buying one from Fasttech. For exactly the reasons you cite. I'd still be interested in one to put a switchfet and wire into...
