Ok I've just ordered the riva 1100 starter kit from vape escape and one of the things I'm interested in trying is the drip tip. Reading previous threads on here people have been advised to buy an atty to drip with. The kit however comes with two as well as a drip tip. So am I ok to use one of those or do I need to buy another one? ALso much as I want to try dripping I have no idea how to. Are there any good verbal instructions (tend To view site on my phone and videos don't work too well!) Along with the kit the only other thing I bought was some e liquid (30ml but I know I love mint liquids) I have plenty of other liquid here at home and also have 2 usb wall plugs for charging!

The ones that come with the kit will be perfectly fine Ratfinkz, if you get on with dripping . . . then it would be worth investing in some Bauway 306's, Vapourhut have the best price on those vapourhut discount code for 5% off.
When you recieve your atomisers, give it a good blow through into some kitchen towel, as it may contain primer fluid which is pretty yuk, insert your drip tip, then direct drip 3 drops of juice onto the bridge of your atomiser, leave that to soak for a couple of minutes, then vape.
You may find it takes a few vapes/drips to for the atomiser mesh to become ' broken in ' with flavour . . . if it gurgles you've dripped too much juice and if you get a burnt taste, you haven't dripped enough.

I'm confuddled, Ratfinkz. The Riva 1100 from Vape escape doesn't come with atomisers. It comes with 5 cartomisers & one vision ego clearomiser.

The drip tip that comes with the Riva kit is a standard 510 drip tip and it will fit perfectly on a standard 510 atomiser

Sorry to butt in on this but I'm interested on what the benefits of a 306 is over a standard 510 atty. Can anyone advise?

Hi FB A lot of it is down to personal preference, but the 306 atomisers are supposed to be the best for getting the most out of the flavours. I've just ordered a couple to try

Sorry to butt in on this but I'm interested on what the benefits of a 306 is over a standard 510 atty. Can anyone advise? Good question. I started off by using a 510 atty to drip and subsequently moved on to 306s. I guess the main advantage of the 306s is they're commonly available in low resistances, so you get better vapour off them. (I'm not sure how easy it is to get hold of low resistance 510s. The ones I used to begin with were all standard resistance which I initially bought for use with basic cartridges.) The only other thing I can say is that in my experience, with 306s, you seem to get more "wiggle room" in between the two extremes you want to avoid when dripping: ie, not getting the atty wet enough, resulting in a horrible burnt taste, and getting it too wet, so it gurgles / spits / floods / leaks. With a 510, there doesn't seem much room between these two extremes, so it's hard to drip just the right amount. With a 306, it's easier to find the sweet spot in between the 2 extremes, it's slightly less prone to leakage if you put 1 or 2 drops too many in, and with a bit of experience, it becomes reasonably easy to judge when it needs topping up. That's just based on my own experience, though. From a technical / hardware point of view, I may be talking absolute nonsense. Does anybody else have any thoughts?

You certainly get more flavour from a 306 than you do a 510, I also find it a warmer vape than a 510, plus the draw is nicer for me.
901's are also a good dripping atomiser, except you'll need a 510 to 901 adapter to use them, whereas the 306's are 510 threaded, so compatible with the majority of our gear.

I also find it a warmer vape than a 510 Is that because of the higher wattage gained through the lower resistance of 306s, or have you still experienced the same at an equivalent wattage? I find it's a warmer vape as well, but in my case, I'm assuming it's because I've never tried a lr 510, so presumbably I was vaping at lower watts.

I've always thought it was more to do with the actual design of a 306 over a 510 Kuro, although I don't pretend to know a definitive answer, technicals not being my forte.

Interesting, I never even thought of the design affecting the warmth of vape. That's probably because my current knowledge of the interior workings of an attie extends no further than "There's some wire in there, and it gets hot".
