Thanks for all the cat support, the Bengal now has 3.5 toes left, very angry he isn't allowed out and t'other is On my lap, very skinny but purring. Have a feeling he isn't out of the woods yet but is happy Dad's is back to droop over. Poor bugger, he really is skin and bones but trying his best to get better, I hope he pulls through, love him so much

It's with an incredibly heavy heart that I have to tell you all that I had to put him to sleep today, I sat with him from very early this morning and I could see him getting worse every hour that passed. Eventually I decided he needed to see the vet, I rushed him in and a blood test later confirmed he was losing more red blood cells and he was going downhill rapidly. I could have opted for a blood transfusion but that would have bought us 12 hours at most so we decided to do the right thing.

I have to say I haven't cried this much for decades, he was my special cat and everyone that met him fell in love with him. I'm so upset

Oh (((((Tim))))) I'm so sorry, have tears in my eyes reading this, such an awful decision to have to make. I had to do it last summer with my dog of 10 years, it's the worst feeling in the world. You must be heartbroken

Tim no words can convey adequate sympathy at a time like this but you know you have the support of everyone here. My condolences to you and your family

Oh Tim, so sad for you.

After I had my old dog put to sleep - just got on a bus and rode around for the whole day on my own.

I know that doesn't help you but it lets you know you are not alone with your grief.

I'm also so sorry Tim. You made the right decision although I know how hard it must have been.

I can still remember when my pet dog had to be put down when I was a kid. Just remember the good times.

Awe..No... (((Tim)))... I'm so sorry. We do our best for them all their lives but it takes real courage to do what's best at the end. You did the right thing when your wee pal needed you most... I'm sure he'll be sorely missed by all.... #grouphug#
