*ANNIVERSARY THREAD* 1 day, 1 week, WHATEVER!!!

I wonder why it is that e-cigs work so well for some people and not at all for others?
I am now 10 weeks free from analogues after a 37 year/20+ a day habit and my friend, Sally, has now been tar-free for nearly 6 weeks after a 50 year habit, smoking at least 20 cigs a day.
I have two other friends who have smoked about the same as I used to, and who have purchased e-cigs, not because I have persuaded them to, but because they have been astounded by my success.
I was always the person who would never be able to give up smoking.
I'm not sure that I actually wanted to 'give up' so much as I wanted to not want to smoke as much as I did previously.
So, out of the group of 4. we have 50% success. I think that's better than excellent but I have no idea why.
This is a very subtle and sneaky habit...

12 weeks for me last Tuesday, and 8 weeks for my friend Sally on Friday..
Sally wants me to tell you how amazed she is with her transition from smoker to non-smoker. She smoked for 50 years, took a puff of my first E-cig and was an instant convert. She says that she sleeps better, her chest is better and so is her sense of taste. Sally also says that one of the best things for her is that her husband has one less thing to nag her about!!
The sea hasn't always been calm for either of us but, as far as I am concerned, I hope never go back to smoking. I'd rather get fat by eating chocolate and nice foods. I figure that extra fat would just fill out my wrinkles a little bit...Strangely enough, eating more and putting on weight hasn't been an issue for me.
