O dear Lindz don't think you've been alone with that happening, you almost have to make sure it's tightened up before each use I find.

So sorry to hear that Lindsay As Scylla & Perpy say, it seems like it's a very common problem with the SDMK2.

The switches are a total pain on the Screwdriver, I lost mine in the car yesterday! You really do have too keep screwing them back up every time you pick it up! I am still finding that it doesn't give as much kick as the Riva. My best love is the riva battery with a LR attie (thanks to Perpy)

I really think to get the best from a SD Dee, it needs to be used with a LR atty, standard ones are just too wimpy, delighted though all is well in the Riva world.

I agree that the 3.7v battery in my MkI with an LR901 doesn't match up to the GD-PT @ 5v with a standard 901 atty. Wish Trog would make a mod to take a 5v battery - I think he hasn't done that because there aren't any 5v batteries ??? scylla

I haven't seen it anywhere, think I've heard of it though.
I shall have a look around unless you have a link.
(I'm supposed to be on a spending moritorium and, as if to be punished, the last 2-3 new things I've bought have been totally duff!)
