My GGTB arrived yesterday and I was 'browsing' for batteries for it. Are these a good deal? All half price and postage free. I've risked £3.95 on a 1760 (or something similar) www.dinodirect.com/batteries-chargers/currency-GBP.htmlJust thought I'd share the link in case it turns out that I have found a bargain, although it's unlikely with my luck!!! Oh Perpie, That's a technical question!! I have one of those multi-size ones. It fits my 18500 batteries. I know the site also sells chargers but didn't check out the prices.... Lynda

Not often I'm technical Lyn!! It's the same as mine, the TR001, the 17670's are a real jam to try and fit in as they're a bit longer than the 18500/18650's . . . . although batteries do vary by millimetre's so it may be worth waiting to see if your batt's do indeed fit. But, I'm a bit doubtful, if I'm honest.

It won't be the first time I've bought something because it was cheap and then discovered that I had to spent yet more money in order to use the cheap thing.....sigh! I have so many chargers and adapters and silly gizmos....

I can only empathize completely with you on that Lyn, got a drawer full myself of things with plugs on . . . but the 14500/ 14650's do fit the GGTB & the TR-001 charger . . . although I've had to use a couple of earth magnets with the 14650's to get a good connection.

Its the TR-001 charger i use, i have the AW17670 batteries and they fit in, it is harder to get them in than the 14500's, but i know it's a recommended charger, so i'll stick with it... those prices are good, Lynda, but i think i read the sale ends tonight so i better hurry, was gonna get some of the Ultrafires to try, my AW's are 1600mah, but the UF's are 1800, so be interesting to compare...is it the 17670 you got, did you get a protected one Lynda? These are the ones i'll get, but my bag is upstairs, so i'll do it later...lazy booger, eh? www.dinodirect.com/UltraFire-3-7V-1800mAh-17670-LC-Protected-Rechargeable-Li-ion-Battery-2-Pcs-currency-GBP.htmlactually, i think those prices are comparable to the chinese sites, are they Perp?

My 14500's are doing me well so far but they are quite elderly....not unlike me actually! I haven't used them since I messed up my GGTS. I must get that sorted. I really need a good aluminium cleaner tho'... I wonder if anyone would want to take it on in it's present condition? Something for me to think about... I don't suppose you have any 901lr atties or cartos left over from the last Eastmail order... Living in hope..lol

Lilac, I ordered the same as you were thinking of doing...It is a chinese site but their delivery window seemed relatively short. Time will tell.... Lynda

They are very good prices indeed. They do have a UK office but there warehouses are in USA, Canada & China.
Lynda, if they are coming from China, I doubt you will get them this side of Christmas.
Really wish I could help you get your GGTS "unstuck".

I've got the grey Ultrafire 17670's Lilac and I *think* they're that fraction longer than yours, as I can only just squeeze them into the TR-001 and prise them out with a screwdriver . . . although I now read on the GG forum that the Ultrafire 188 charger may have been a better one to go for. It seems there's as much of size discrepancy between Chinese batteries as there is charger capability. I've a pack of LR901's to spare if you like Lyn, also got a couple of mechanic neighbour's who I'd happily give your GGTS to, to see if they could unstick it for you.
