Perpie, You must think I am so rude not to have replied yesterday.. I was preparing for a night shift and ran out of time. I'd hoped to have had time to log on at work but the lunatics were pretty mad last night and I didn't get round to it... Thankyou for your kind offer. I'll pm you tomorrow when I have finished my 'nights'. Thanks again, Lynda

Not at all Lynda , we've all got stuff to do outside of the pute . . . for example I've turned down a meal invite for tonight, purely so I can watch X Factor . . . which reminds me, must go do a poll in The Lounge!

Lol Scylla, I was also looking for a thread to post about batteries on. Just realised that LF's batteries for mods are a very good price (even less with our discount code "allaboute" ) Just ordered 2x18650 2000mah Trustfire protected @ £4.89. www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=23

Oh shurrup you 2, do you have to rub it in?* ROFL Scylla Honestly though, the listing wasn't that clear. Mind you neither are several other listings on LF.

Any links that I view from this forum are viewed in Chrome - if I'd done it in Firefox I could have used Raggy's NoSquint to change LF's website to black-on-white, easier to read.

Well, much to my surprise my battery arrived today.
I managed to actually see my postman and tip him. He's struggled through snow and ice, carrying lots of packages for me. I thought he was going to cry. He said not many people have tipped him.
I'm not sure whether it's a good or bad thing to do but I remember my parents scraping up a shilling or two to tip the dustman, milkman and postie, just because they worked in such awful conditions to provide us with their services and usually for a pretty low wage..
Anyway, my battery postal service is great and I'm sure the battery will work wonderfully, if only I can un-jam it from my GGTB. I'm not sure whether the problem is with the width of the battery, it was a snug fit but then refused to go 'all the way' in, or if it is a problem with the internal turning of the GGTB. Whatever, I only need to hit the battery with a blunt instrument to get it unstuck.
I think I'll postpone that until I finish my nights tomorrow. I have no luck with GG things...
Sigh.......

Lynda, it sounds to me like you have mis-sized batteries there One lot of 18650's I bought where fatter than they should have been & it was a bit of a squeeze getting them in my GGTS. They where trustfire, blue label & all the specs the same as as the other Trustfire 18650 blue labels I'd bought that fit perfectly. Please be very careful, if they are that tight a fit & you end up damaging the battery casing, they could become unstable.

My 16340 higher mAh (yellow from Kaidomain) ones wouldn't fit my SD MkI, at least, 4 out of 6 wouldn't. The protective strips stuck out too much.

That's been a common problem with the GGTB & the Trustfire 17650 batteries Lynda . . . so you're not alone in the some fit and some don't I'm afraid.
