Hello Scylla and thanks for the lovely welcome

I realised when I got my Riva I'd been smoking for over 30 years, what a shock - I had no idea I was that old LOL!!

I've been trying all sorts of different flavours from different vendors to find something that 'just does it' I'm enjoying most, but I've also found a few that I find really blurgh!
Doesn't really help that I've got a stinker of a cold atm and have settled on menthol for the last few days cos it's the only thing I can taste! So many flavours and can't enjoy them

I keep trying to get hubs to vape but it's not working yet.....must try harder!

Well done, Dizi - we've all be through the same things as you. Don't worry yourself too much.

You will suddenly find you don't want an analogue any more. Keep trying the different juices, you will soon find something you like. MM

Sounds like you're doing really well, I wouldn't worry about the odd ciggie smoked, especially as you've temptation so close on hand. . . . hopefully if your OH sees how well your doing, it might persuade him.

It's worth only buying small bottles of the juice in the beginning whilst you find what flavours you like or don't.

We do have a classified section and a Pay it Forward thread where you can sell/swap any of your unwanted flavours, as what tastes like poison to you, could be nectar to another vaper.

Welcome to the forum Dizi. I smoked for two months after I started vaping, be patient, you will stop smoking when you are ready.

As others have said, don't put yourself under any pressure - just count the real cigs you don't smoke.

just wanted to add that you're already doing well by only smoking a couple of cigarettes each day! i can see where you're coming from re the habit of just auto smoking even though it's no longer enjoyable. it's weird! it's just habit! i was rolling up and not particularly enjoying it. with me personally it was the lingering stench getting everywhere that put me right off in the end! xx

WOW thank you all for such a wonderful warm welcome.

Now I know I've made the right choice in so many ways.

I'm happy to say my taste buds are starting to wake up again today, so I'm back to my taste trials. Today I'm vaping Flu Cured (how appropriate ) from Paradise Vapes and I must say it's very nice.

I'm feeling much better now about the stupid cigs I'm still lighting up, so I'm just going to let it happen naturally. I'm sure it will now thanks to all your encouraging words.

Magicma, your emoticon did make me laugh, I've found myself with a cig in one hand and Riva in the other, taking a puff from each without thinking! Duh!
