Oh anne what a nightmare for you :-( I really hope you manage to find some affordable liquid that is alcohol free!!!
Also I was wondering if the alcohol was in any of the components or something added separately. Ie if you were to mix your own would this eradicate the problem? Or if it's only used to thin down the vg in which case would 100% pg solve the problem? Just a couple of lines worth investigating???

Anne Pixie has already been mentioned as one vendor who doesn't use alcohol. Rather than putting your vaping gear away would it be worth a quick email to whoever you normally buy your juicves from to ask the question? I'm sure that all the vendors who use the forum would be happy to give you an honest answer

Han, going back to the original question - there are juices that taste 'like' a packet of newly opened fags or baccy. The real problem is that tobacco is set alight and burned and I've yet to come across a juice that actually tastes of tobacco smoke

Anne, you've been vaping for quite some time. If there was a tiny bit of alcohol in the juice you're vaping would you not have noticed any adverse effects by now?

i was aware of the same thing with virgin vapors as i could taste the alcohol and Annette wrote back to me and said only a certain range of hers contained ethanol ...im sure if you were to inquire they could tell you Anne Yes, it is the Absolute line which has no alcholol...or gluten...or anything...it's pure VG too....I've tried the naked vanilla and it was quite nice and flavoursome. Also, well done on the recovery people. My best friend reached 5 years of recovery just the other day and I was very proud of him....in fact, I should probably tell him about the alcohol thing because he's started vaping recently (though he's mainly a Pixie Juice vaper, so shouldn't be a problem).

I have now vaped 23 different flavours and only one, a free sample called Daiquiri, tasted of alcohol and went down the sink after only 3 or 4 tokes. I had not heard of Daiquiri and didn't know it was an alcohol based drink. So I was quite surprised when trying out this new flavour, that it tasted alcoholic.
I guess after being sober all this time, I had let my guard slip a bit and simply did not expect to find alcohol in e-juice. So this was a good thing and woke me up to the fact that some flavours do contain alcohol. I then learned that some folks use Vodka to dilute VG, but also that there are safer alternatives.
I got sober in 1986 and if had any sort of a concern that there was alcohol in e-juice, I would be straight back on the fags because there is nothing on this earth that I would allow to interfere with my continued sobriety.
Orcourse I steer clear of any flavour that I know to be an alcoholic drink or a foodstuff that would normally contain alcohol, like Christmas Pudding, if there is such a flavour, but apart from those, I think you are fairly safe with the vast majority of e-juice flavours.

hey lobey, thanks so much for the post, well I have opened a can of worms here lol! as far as you know are the Royals by paradise vape alcohol free? I think I will contact a few sellers and ask some questions too and post when I find out, I have noticed that the organics that say they are alcohol free are much more expensive than the rest and perhaps I am getting ahead of myself as usual, I haven't actually vaped yet so perhaps I really don't need a juice that tastes like fags (as lots of people have mentioned on here) and thanks so much to everyone for all the info and help.......so glad I found this site.......it's amazing

The gauntlet is still down as to finding an eliquid that tastes like a cigarette, If anyone thinks they have found one I ask them to fall off the wagon and take a drag from a real cigarette just to see how wrong they are. Some have come pretty close to be fair, but honestly I know what a cigarette tastes like after so long quitting and I'd rather not spend money on an eliquid that tastes so vile. If youre looking for the same kind of performance from an eliquid then you should look at 'Halo's - Bella Valente or Torque 56' those guys are the master of throat hit if you ask me, some real quality juice, the only drawback is you have to keep it in a cupboard for a few weeks as it just gets better and better with age. Head over to www.vapenstein.com/its-alive to read that guys reviews of the halo range, hes bang on the money in my eyes.

Regarding the other juices, Ecopure by intellicig is just that, as pure an eliquid as youre gonna get, funnily also reviewed on that site, have a look, the review didnt do much for me but it seems if you get on that list (as most manufacturers want to) you have a great juice.

Captain Jack is another amazing one, but that stuff does need a while to stew. Have a go of thier sample pack, you get 7ml bottles. The 30ml bottles are classy glass ones with a glass dropper too.

By the way - if any of you ladies and gentlemen in recovery order virgin vapour from ukecigstore, you might want to mention in your order that you do not touch the filthy stuff because when I ordered a bunch of samples the other week, I got sent a free clearomiser thingie with Drunken Pirate Pudding in it.....which has rum flavouring. Which wasn't a problem for me, as I do touch the filthy stuff.

I have been smoking cigarettes since I was in school and I am now an OAP. I have stopped smoking many times, the last time for 18 months, but I have never been able to "stay stopped".
I do know what that first few fags taste like when I go back on them and I also know what it now smells like when I walk passed someone who is smoking and yes, I agree that I have yet to replicate that taste or smell in an e-juice.
But I think that others are missing the point when they say that there is no tobacco vape that matches the taste of an anologue ciggy. These flavours that you are looking at are not the flavours that I would expect to find if I was returning to smoking after a long period of not smoking. People who are smoking do not get that "first, fresh hit and smell". People who are smoking do not smell the smoke from other people's cigarettes, or for that matter, the stale smell off their clothing.
I am looking for an e-juice tobacco that tastes the same as the Mayfairs I used to get through at the rate of 40+ a day when my tastebuds were already full of the previous 39 Mayfairs and for me, that is Royals by Paradise Vape.
Review sites are all well and good, but they are other peoples interpretations of what their tastebuds are telling them and as I could not stand the taste of American Tobaccos or Cuban Cigars, although I did like the smell of them when they were being smoked, I much prefer to try e-juices for myself and my tastebuds will tell me whether they are acceptable or not.

For the most part I agree with that, as we all know, taste is very subjective and one mans tea is another mans poison (insert cliche here). Reviews have in my experience have saved me alot of wasted cash buying juices that have been named the same as (insert famous brand here) but in actuality taste like foot cheese. As I previously wrote I dont want to taste another cigarette or anything that reminds me of how a cigarette tasted, what I am looking for is the "buzz" that was achieved whilst having a cigarette that all of us enjoyed particularly when going without a cigarette for any longer amount of time. The throat hit that gets your attention, the gratifying feeling that only nicotine can deliver and if this can be achieved whilst delivering a great taste to boot, wether its caramel or apple juice I dont mind then im happy. I have tried Royals to be fair and it is very good regarding the elusive ash tray taste and I could vape it all day. But so far Im enjoying all things vaping and love to discuss whats good or bad. All my opinions are my own and will vary from one person to the next, but that's the nature of e-forums after all. Love it.
