Hi all, Just wanted to update and say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me with advice and posts to get to this stage.......well my first kit the Joyetech Ego turned up this morning and I put it together and I started vaping, and although I had planned to continue smoking rollies and using my e-cig for a few days/weeks until I got used to vaping, I can honestly say I have not wanted a rollie since! amazing! I keep waiting to be desperate for a real fag and it just hasn't happened! I am stunned, also all those people who told me I wouldn't want a tobacco tasting e-juice were right, I am not keen on the tobacco ones atall but love the chocolate, caramel and an orange pop one lol.........all that searching for the perfect fag tasting e-juice and actaully I love all the flavoured ones already! Can't wait to try more, I have felt fine all day but have noticed a slight lack of concentration, but nothing that has caused me any problems and I am assuming thats from not smoking cigs? anyway just wanted to shout it from the roof tops lol I haven't smoked all day wooohoo!

Och so pleased for you .... Yeah Joyetech Ego is a good newbie one to go for...Good choice It's good to have some tobacco flavours (people on here can recommend) as standby for the early days but still. You'll be fine... Welcome and now spread the word to all your smoking friends

Good for you Isn't vaping amazing !! I to am relatively new (almost 2 weeks now) I am using Menthol as my main vape as I find it an excellent substitute for tobacco flavour because of the icey hit

Glad to hear you're enjoying your kit and juice and well done on not smoking since. I had a similar experience of not planning to stop smoking right away either, but I found I prefered vaping

Brilliant isn't it Han :-) I knew from the off that was it for me, that I'd never smoke again. I did feel a little jittery around the third day in, but it just made me smile all the more inside because I knew if I was craving anything, it was all the nasty stuff cynical big tobacco sneaks into fags to keep us hooked on their filthy lethal products, you get all the nic you need and more vaping. In a week you will feel a big difference in your well being as your blood cleans up and starts carrying around more oxygen, everything will taste and smell nicer, plus deep refreshing sleeps... Vape on peeps ;-)

thanks so much for all the replies, it's really amazing, honestly I can't express how pleased I am, I really thought I would smoke aswell! I felt strange not having my morning cig today, not that I wanted it but just I am so used to having it..........I woke up and thought ohhh ciggy time as I normally do (that's my first thought of the day gross I know lol) and then thought oh I don't smoke now I vape and I did! and scooter I am totally with you that vaping is like an up yours to all those revolting ciggy corporations and that really is the icing on the cake for me, I can enjoy vaping, not really miss smoking and not fund ciggy companies or pay the government extortionate taxes for the pleasure of killing myself! I am feeling a little jittery at times but it's so minor at the moment it's not a problem

Huge congratulations to you Han. Not sparking up that first ciggy of the day, was a real breakthrough for me, I thought if I can get past that craving . . . I can and will make the switch.

When/if you get to the jittery stage, just chug away, your body will tell you when it's had enough. The main habit to break now is the "rush" you get with that first one in the morning, you won't ever get that again, but don't miss it, because that was the carbon monoxide hitting your brain, nasty!! The nic is more subtle, a little slower, but every bit as satisfying once it gets there, in a healthier way

thanks for all the replies, this site has been so helpful and supportive, I really couldn't be doing this if it wasn't for all of your help and encouragement I am never quite sure how many "chugs" I can have from my e-cig at a time! that may sound silly but this morning I had quite a few in a row..........but felt a bit silly and unsure if that was right or not? can anyone tell me how they normally smoke their e-cigs? can I have like 5 puffs in a row if I want to?

Han, you should be fine having several puffs one after another. The downside can be that your e-cig may not keep up with you depending on exactly which one you're using - some put up with this better than others. The thing to remember if you take multiple draws and find it starting to go a bit dry and burny-tasting is that the liquid needs a little time to replenish to where the coil is located. If you give it 30 seconds or so then take another draw and that one's fine, that tells you that was the problem. If it is still hot-and-burny, time to refill or top up.
You do also need to be aware it IS possible to overdose on nicotine, same as you could have done with the smellies by smoking too many one after another. Personally, the first thing I notice if I'm overdoing it is my heart pounding away as if I'd just run up a long flight of stairs or I may feel slightly giddy. If you don't put it down and leave it alone then, you could start getting a headache which won't go away for a couple of hours and seems immune to tablets. Not fun, so best avoided!
Aside from that, delighted that you are enjoying your vaping so far and hope this will continue for you. Welcome to the ranks of the vaping community!

Chug on Han, but remember to up your liquid intake as vaping dehydrates us more than smoking and that can also lead to a headache
