Manchester meet *update venue*

Hello folks,

I'm arranging a Manchester mini-meet for Friday 9th November. Skwoddy has suggested we meet at an easy to find place in Manchester City Centre and then head over to Canal Street or Deansgate to some of the bars that are known to allow vaping.

I will probably get to Manchester earlier in the evening straight from work and get some food, any are welcome to join me and then we can all meet later in the evening to allow for people to get there. Maybe around 7:30pm?

Will iron out more of the details later, if anyone happens to know any names of places in Manchester that allow vaping it would be helpful.

For now I wanted to start the thread and see how many people might be interested in coming

Another maybe here . I'll see if I'm on a Saturday shift the following day . One slight reservation with it being a Friday as most bars will be full , it may prevent us filling a table with devices and talking shop .

Saturday day time is better for me, but if you're concerned about how busy it will be. Better pick a pub without Sky Sports.

Centre of Manchester will be mental whether it's friday or saturday , I know a bar/ restaraunt owner in the northern quarter , who is interested in vaping but hasn't made the full commitment yet ,

I know him as one of our comapnies clients , but I'm sure if there is enough interest from us he would be able to accomodate a number of us , as long as it doesn't affect his food trade ,

so if Ellen can keep me informed with the numbers attending I can see if I can arrange one of the upper lounges for vaping and boozing ( thats not to say we can't eat coz it's a fantastic menu )

I will just add beer is probs higher price than a pub simply because it's a restaraunt

Sorry just got back home and catching up. I also didn't really want to be out at the same time as a load of people partying. I don't drink

Saturday night in Manchester is horrendous and so is a Friday on the first weekend of the month (payday). So I thought an early Friday evening might be better.

Trying to find a happy medium when people can make it. We can change it to a Saturday afternoon, but again Saturday afternoons in Manchester are bad because then you have shoppers everywhere too.

Lets have a definite vote as I've already started posting this other places and contacting people with this date....

Friday 9th early evening as planned?
Or Saturday 10th afternoon?
