If you look closely at the tank, you can see it bulges at either end where it fits onto the metal, it must have been put on with a very tight fit. Understandable, as it has no o-rings, I'm sure someone will come up with a solution soon, but it's a serious design fault IMO.

Right, I tried a slightly looser wrap of the mesh coil and used a silicon tube robbed from an ex frozen in the freezer DC
Put it on a vh genesis and wrapped a coil, as I suspected the silicon took the strain of the winding without squashing the mesh wick underneath
It's nigh on impossible to get a hot spot like this and the juice wicks about the same as a tightly wound mesh so they can just be made as tight as normal for the added strength it would give.
Someone is going to make a mint from these silicon tubes should they decide to stock them
Will nab an ss maximus on the strength of this

Silica mate not silicon..

It is a good development especially for those who are unfamiliar with SS mesh wicks..I found the flavour is about the same too..How about you?

However I feel that the throathit is a bit muted so back to the good old bare SS for now..

Throathit def muted and yeah, I meant silica :-[ lol
Flavour for me was no different. But I did find that the TH improved as it bedded in. That was with a 1.7ohm 5 wrap coil at 3.8v.
I think I'll continue to play around with this for a while and see how it goes.

It's given me the confidence to tackle a mesh wick/coil now if nothing else, as I know if I don't oxidize completely right, then this wick tube will compensate for my shortcomings.

Not big on TH myself, so the vape it gives suits me.

Totally agree perps. My penny is the same since I've started using the cobra. But I'm sold on this, And I got my did arriving tomorrow so I'm defo gonna get some of those tubes to try aswell. Now just gotta get hold of some.

Would`nt bother if it means paying 3 times the price with usual shipping price.
