Would`nt bother if it means paying 3 times the price with usual shipping price.

I ordered 5 packs solely to negate the preposterous postage, Im sure they could go in an envelope as opposed to a parcel, Just glad I have several genesis type atties to use the tubes on, Im even considering sliding some over the FG wick on my penny for the reservoir type effect.

Selected the 99p shipping option myself, as despite my profligate spending ways, £2.70 on postage was a bit steep for such diddy items.

Lamp wick are cotton, they will burn and that other stuff is Kevlar. You don't want that. Silica only.

That's the kind of stuff. Looks wholesale only, Probably OK if you want 100 meters.

Also noticed their smallest size is a bit big: Bore from 4 to 45 mm

Bore 4 to 45 mm and it's impregnated with God knows what..Worth enquiring but make sure you know what it is impregnated with.

If it is just hot spots you want to be rid of, there are other ways to do it the top one being to bend the mesh without kinking it towards the center post and just plain adjusting your coils.

Whats the hole size with the ones supplies? 2mm? 3mm?

Does this tubing have to sit snug over the mesh?

It doesnt have to drop into the tank, so might be ok just to stop the hot spots

The tubing does have to fit quite snugly on the mesh otherwise you won't get the heat transfer.

That's why I mentioned that if you roll a 2mm wick the the carto inner silica tube fits just right.

Macca suggested that if you do source some slightly oversized silica tube, then you could slice it down the length and perhaps trim some off or wrap it on the mesh...not too many times, though !

ok an update on the tubing, I have just used the spare tubing that was supplied from Callum, It seems it's the wrong stuff as It doesnt soak up any Eliquid, I will place a few pictures, the setup was an absolute doddle to be fair with no hotspots or shorts first try. But alas to no avail as the properties of the tube make it stay dry and once the liquid has gone from the initial wetting of the wick assembly the coil starts to glow. Understand that this was on my DID and not the atty supplied by Callum, I will wait further verification from other members before I do anything.











As you can see in the last pic the initial wetting has dried off and the wick is accepting no more liquid, as I say I will await verification from another member that uses the replacement tubing.

I just wonder skwoddy, if it's a wicking issue, ie your tube is blocked somewhere.

I was hoping it was just that, The eliquid pours out of the mesh tube no proble, even standing the tubing in eliquid for a few minutes and it refuses to soak in
