Got a chance to semi-finish it this evening: Some small blemishes need polishing out but it looks very good..

Did any ones come pre-wicked ? Mine didn't No..I was given to believe that they would come pre-wicked with a silica wick but the wick and wire just came as spares: what was the post you attached to the AGA? and did you just do it with a drill? It's an old 510 battery.. Yes, on a battery drill placed on a wooden chopping board on my lap..I used a rough file to get most of the knurling out and then 120 grit paper for the first finish and then 800 paper for the final finish to sand out the blemishes. Go slow speed as stainless is a hard material. Be careful when working with power tools and wear eye protection at all times. Edit add: Photo below:

what was the post you attached to the AGA? and did you just do it with a drill? looks like an old 510 manual cig-alike battery and yes just a drill will do , ensure tho the drill turns the right way . That is to say that when pressure is put on the aga from a file or paper that it tightens on the threads, go the wrong way and the aga will unscrew from the battery. Doesn't have to be a battery obviously, I use a 510-510 ego charger extender/adaptor for the same purposes.

I use a small nut and bolt through the center pin hole, try and find one as big as will fit and long enough to fit in chuck and use a washer when doing the top deck.I haven't had the guts yet to try the top cap yet,but that can be done getting rid of the grooves and looks good.

Those that can't get to grips with SS wicks initially can use the atty with silica wicks.. I will do a video/photo walkthrough when I get mine. I have spoken to our contact and she has said she will pass on our suggestion to the production team. The airhole is 1mm diameter so should be suitable for all. I sent them this photo: Hopefully they will oblige..If anyone thinks any different, let me know. i haven't got a clue what i'm doing with this, i would like to try a silica wick to start and then try my first mesh set up, i've looked but cant find a walkthrough, did you get around to doing one Macca ?
