Well, i have finally got around to trying my first ss wick on the Aga and amazingly enough i've nailed it, vapes an absolute treat. The best flavour i have got so far from anything else i've used, i am well chuffed. The wick is a bit bent , not like some of the photos i've seen posted on here but it works. i used 500 mesh with .2 kanthal and its come out at 1.6 ohms and i followed todds drill bit method, no hot spots either, its a bloody miracle !!

I posted these in the delivery confirmation thread, then realised they were best placed here...
"Unfortunately the centre post doesn't fit, it's too short... a few MM's shorter than the old one, means it doesn't screw into the top section, I can get it to hold with the tiny nut on the positive pin, but it isn't very secure and I wouldn't trust the seal."
"I tried unscrewing the centre pole from the bottom cap a little to give it more length, which allowed me to screw on the top cap, but now you can visibly see a gap at the bottom, so I am again, unsure of the seal.
Wonder why they machined these shorter???"
Any ideas? Anyone else found the same thing?

At first I could not get the new post to work because it was too short. I turned around and now it does up.
The threads looked the same on each end which is strange.

I tried this, fully expecting it to make no difference at all, but for some reason it does. ??? The top of the centre post doesn't sit flush to the underside of the top cap, as it doesn't screw on fully, but it does screw on, and seems secure. Thanks Steve

I had the same problem as others, the centre post seems just a tad short reading posts, i turned it the other way round and for some strange reason it fits i've filled the tank with water and going to leave it and see if any leaks.
My parcel arrived this morning, Thank you Perps, and all who worked hard at getting another co-op together.

I had the same centre post problem, turned it around and all was fine. They do look good with the glass tank and SS centre post. I bought 2 in the coop, 1 for me and 1 for a friend but then my friend changed his mind so I have 2 I may even wick up the other one now and use it.

Thanks Steve I've just received my posts and took a closer look. The step just before the threads is of different sizes. So it will only fit one way. There was a minor modification to post on the AGA-T in between batches and ours is the first batch and the manufacturer made these posts specially to fit the AGA-T we bought in the co-op.

Hi. Firstly thanks to`Perps` and all others for superb organisation of these updated parts for our Aga-t. Received the parts today, perfect packaging. All parts fitted perfectly, now about to attempt my first s/s wick. May be back soon for help: Wish me luck. Thanks. jeffc.
