Ian can I ask what you mean by throat hit? Is it the feeling that there is something there, like if you closed you eyes you could tell that you are inhaling something or is it a harsh raspy feeling you need? Im only asking because I dont think I have ever got much TH with anything but when I mentholated some juice to kill the vomit taste from the bloody atty I got a cooling feeling on the back of my throat. Is that TH?

Throat hit,for me anyway,is when you get a very nice, strong kick in your throat, that you can then take into your lungs, and then breath out the vapour. With 36mg juice,100%PG,the feeling is so satisfying and intense. The PG doesnt carry the flavour as well as VG,but it provides me total satisfaction. If i start adding VG,the hit gets cut down, but the vapour goes up.So i guess that from now on i will be sticking to 100% PG and nothing else. :)It seems to be the closest feeling to smoking for me.You do get a more cooling sensation with menthol, really love menthol once in a blue moon, for a change.

Ah haaaa Thanks Ian. Guess I havent really experinced throat hit then cos I havent got a kick anywhere. Dont mind though as long as there is oddles of vapour and some flavour. Yep flavour is good. No flavour is bad, Tornado Tank Im looking at you.

(((Tetsy))))) it's so blooming good to see you Brain isn't working at the moment but I'm sure Raggy (Ragjoy) that was concerned about how OKSmokey's juices had changed?

((((Chrissie)))) - likewise - grand to see you too!
Was this a recent change that Ragjoy had noticed? I haven't noticed any change with the ones I've had in recently, but then don't actually always check! The last time I know there were changes was around the time they introduced the Drum, Old Holborn & Golden Virginia flavours - because they had changed suppliers, I believe. Personally I thought it was an improvement, and the rolling tobaccos are excellent.
I have had some of the new Amber Leaf recently and found that too very good. A nice light rolling tobacco, perhaps slightly lighter than the GV but still a definite rollie flavour and as far as I can recollect once again pretty accurate to the original - unlike many of the 'named brand' type flavours (to my personal tastebuds). Don't get me wrong, this doesn't mean I don't like them - OKS B&H is probably my personal favourite, but it doesn't taste like the 'real ones' to me, I didn't actually like those much!
If there have been changes which I haven't spotted (going to have to try them all now, aren't I?) I will be after someone's guts for garters! I do think there's a certain amount of variation from one delivery to another but this hasn't struck me as significant up to date.
I think I may have just become accustomed to the fact that absolute consistency apparently isn't something that happens with e-cigs in general, either hardware or 'software', sadly!

I heavily rely on throat & vapour, both are definate must haves for me to continue vaping.
The throat hit to me is pretty much the same as taking a drag from a analog, just the taste is fresher.

Oh is it the nicotine strength that gives the throat hit?

Chrissie - thanks ever so much for the link to Raggy's posts about his difficulties with OKS juices back in December. It looks as if I may have to investigate this further if they have apparently been changed to 100% VG.
I did have some Drum in a recent delivery but haven't actually tried it out - oddly enough the colour of it is quite pale. Old Holborn from the same delivery appears quite a bit darker.
Generally the stronger (higher nic) juices appear darkest, zero is normally very pale/almost clear; I get a range of strengths in some flavours and mix as needed, (eg) for people who want to reduce strength gradually. I think I've vaguely noted some differences in the colour of the juices before but just put it down to variability in the base.
As it goes I never did join the most recent OKS forum - perhaps I should have done. Looks as if I certainly should do now. Makes me look a bit foolish posting those figures extracted from the ingredients list - received 20th January...!! Ah well, if that's the worst thing that happens all year...

Yes Hissie, higher the nic,the better the throat hit.Thats what ive found anyway.I think the best throat hit is 36mg,100% PG mix. :)I can see why people say its unsafe to go higher than 36mg.52mg,phew,what a head rush,my heart was thumping to.

Not at all foolish (((Tetsy))) In fact it's very interesting that that ingredients list was only recently sent to you.

I'm just trying to work out how Ian managed to smoke 80 rollies a day - reckon he must have been a faster roller than me I estimate my chainsmoking at 60 rollies a day, maybe I should up it scylla
