Quite a few people did buy them Lisa, so it'll be interesting to hear what they think . . . have to say EM atty's do have the weirdest tasting primer I've come across that does take a fair bit of time to go.

Ah OK that could be it, the 901's are fine though.
It's pretty horrible :-)

I get it a little with the 901's but nothing like as with the 510's . . . the taste is perfectly revolting until it wears off.

I got a couple of these but not tried them yet, looking forward to that primer now like Definitely getting no primer taste from the LR901s, my 1st one dropped off a bit after a week on the Tornado, so I'm using it on the Silver Bullet now and it's on day 10 overall and still great. These are now going to be my regular atty, very satisfying. Mind you, when I'm on the beer, I still need a LR510, I did try taking the LR901 out and it wasn't strong enough to cut the through the beer fumes

My 510s have a mint juice in the filling. They are going great guns - very pleased with those.
But ................ I am not doing at all well with my LR901s. Out of 10 - 7 are dead - can't get them going at all. Any idea folks, or have I just been really unlucky?

That doesn't sound right Hanow Want me to come over & see if I can find out what's going on? Lol can't promise that I solve the problem but... Did you get that 3/4 way car adapter? If so, I could also bring over my EM one to see if it will work with it.

Have you tried them on your GDPT Hanow with an adaptor?
Could your SD batteries be at fault here, as the LR901's have been the most reliable/consistent of all EM's atomisers . . . you know you can always send them back to me and I'll willingly test them, as there's something not right as Chris says.

Hi Chrissie - Perps. Thanks to both of you. I have only tried them with the SD, and as I say, I have only managed to kick-start 3 of them. Not even a hiss or fizzle with the others! I haven't got a 510 to 901 adaptor. Think mine is the other way around. I have a wotsit to put into the SD to enable me to use 510s. So, can't test it out with the GD either. Have you by any chance got any spare adapters Perps that would work that way around? I could then test them with the GD. As for the car wotsit - the one I ordered arrived (very quickly) - but I haven't tried it yet. After you said about the voltage/amp Chrissie, that made sense because this is only 500 so wouldn't power up both satnav and GD. I haven't got around to ordering the more powerful one yet but will.

Your batteries are knackered I'd suspect Hanow . . . tackle that first, cos if I ( very happily ) send you a 510 to 901 adaptor - you'll blow them in a short time on the GDPT as it's not designed for LR atomisers.

Hanow, umless you bought your GDPT yonks ago, it won't need an adapter to use a 510 attie with it. Not normally recommended to use an LR510 attie on the GDPT though, but worth giving a try. Don't buy another car adapter splitter the one you have may be usable. I think (but again may be wrong) that it's only the USB port on the one you have that is only 500 mA the round ports may be able to draw more power. Still more than happy to come over to you/ meet you somewhere or just pop my EM adapter in the post to you to try out with the one you bought Edit - gawd, I'm tired, just remembered it's the LR901 atties you are having trouble with, not the LR501's so scrub my first paragraph Agrees with perpy, if your SD batteries are failing, they won't be giving out enough power for the LR atties.

I'm pretty convinced it's Hanow's SD batts that are causing the device to under perform overall and also not have enough oomph in them to fire up the new LR's Chris.

7 out of 10 atties u/s doesn't sound right at all. This may or may not be relevant, but I recently had some atties failing to make a good contact on an SDII.
I have been swapping around 901 & 4075 atties and batteries (as well as using on the SD sometimes) and although they are supposed to be interchangeable they don't always seem to like each other. One thing I'd found was happening was that the silicon grommet beneath the round contact at the base of the atty seemed to have been getting crushed down too far; I tried easing the contact upwards very slightly with the blade of a very small screwdriver (the sort you tighten up spectacle screws with) and this seemed to help some of them.
Might just be worth trying this with some of your apparently non-functioning atties, Hanow? I am talking VERY gently - there are small wires attached to the inside of this round contact and you don't want to risk pulling them away from it!
I found last week though that I have one atty now (4075) which just refuses to make contact with the SD. Works fine on a standard 901 battery but nothing at all on the SD - I thought at first it had croaked, but no, it has apparently just decided it doesn't like the SD and will NOT work with it! ???
