Looks as if some lucky chaps (and chapesses) have received theirs! So they really do the job, do they? These sound very promising indeed. ...and I've been the lucky recipient of a shining example of the kindness & generosity of one of the smashing members of this forum! The lovely CKC has sent me a PM and is going to send me a couple of hers so I can try them too. I am really delighted and would happily have added many points to her karma score if this were still possible - any chance of these returning, Chrissie? I must say this has brightened me up no end, the perfect antidote to some not-so-great things which have been happening this week - like listening to the sound effects of the (currently ongoing) gales dismantling the remnants of my rickety much-repaired greenhouse, for instance...! Thanks ever so much CKC - and I can also add my gratitude to Perpetua for having the perspicacity to grab these while they were available, too.

I have to say that I think for what its worth that the Karma system is not good because people can very often get undeserved karma points from their friends and not only for helpful posts whilst others who may be helpful but quieter get none which IMHO can cause bad feeling. I was amazed here that as a relative newbie that I seemed to get a lot of karma points but I would not say my contributions were that good. Just my opinion of course and others will no doubt disagree. Ken.

:)Mine seemed not to be working to well with the standard filler.I took the standard cotton wool out and made a small plug with blue foam. Its just trial and error Lisa, but i have found folding the piece of foam in half and then putting it in the cart works well.I am finding that it works better with the foam, definately.Just keep trying Lisa,i know you will get it rite.If i can do it,i am sure everyone else can.Its usually me having these sorts of problems. ;)If you dont fold the foam over,i have found that the juice can leak through,i only did it once though, hate wasteing juice ;)I am really happy with them.for now.

Did you bin that bit of foam I sent you Lisa?
It's perfect for using as a plug for the Smartcarts, the filler supplied with them isn't up too much . . . I'm finding them best on the 901 as the atomiser body is longer so the bridge doesn't come into such close contact with the filler material.
Fill ( quite firmly ) the perspex part of the Smartie that sticks out below the black tip piece with foam and you should be fine.
Delighted you're pleased Ian & Lynda . . . I'm loving these!
* I'd agree completely with Kenny about the Karma facility, it makes people 'unequal' IMO so I wouldn't want to see it returned *

Hi, everyone, Jonah checking in here I didn't get as far as this thread yesterday, Perpy, as you will have realised from my emails. I'm a little worried that you're telling me I've paid you enough when you've looked at your PayPal a/c and seen nothing there from me that's cos I paid you by BT, as with the pay't for the extra P&P on the EM order. I hope you haven't been being "polite" and thinking inside "that dang scylla's probably paid the wrong person" ??? Anyway, today I rec'd a driptip from James, which I had to try right away cos it was straightforward - very good. Then when I'd been pointed to the Smartcart video I got going with it. (That was when Jonah took over.) It doesn't fit my TW standard 901, it's a bit too big to snap right in the atty, so I put some 3M tape around it. Then it worked fine, but suddenly I got the most awful flavour off it (Ian would have liked it I think ), so I've gone back to my Jamie driptip (James, I just dripped in some of your 40mg L&B and it's great! but normally I dilute it). I only have an LR510 so I can't use that with my GD-PT, I did try to file down the Smartcart but there isn't much "edge" to work on and I don't want to break my crystal nailfile. I might buy some 510 atties but... given that there's just been significant EM expenditure on everything but 510 atties, it does seem a waste. I can see that these Smartcarts will be great, I may try to find something else to file them with. To those whose fluff it getting stuck to the atty, are you remembering to fill the tank so that it "floods" the fluff? Everlasting thanks to Perpy And as for karma being restored - we did have some members a little upset cos they didn't get any/much so I was all for doing away with it. Now, if it were restored, I'd be so jealous of Perpy's astronomical score I'd have to resign But I think it's lovely that Tetsy wanted to express her thanks in a "tangible" way. scylla

Forgot to say, Perpy, I tried your black foam in an ornery cart, it works a treat LR901s won't go in my GD-PT, which I use all the time when surfing... which is nearly all my time I will give 'em a go in my SD. As for owing - I'll always owe you, Perpy scylla x

You know, I'd actually forgotten that there was 'smiting' as well as 'exalting' with the karma thing. :-[ I only remembered adding karma points on when people had made interesting posts or even just made me smile! (and of course to Isaac, Chrissie's beautiful and wise boy, just because...) Given the 'bad experience' I can totally understand you deciding to ditch it, and agree retrospectively too. Forums should indeed be places where we are all as 'equal' as we're likely to get anywhere in this sad old world, in the sense that your reputation and any respect you are accorded are things earned solely on merit and as such, totally in your own hands... ...and anything which was disturbing the equilibrium here definitely had to go. ((((Scylla)))) - grand to 'see' you, even if you do still seem to be engaged in open war with your hardware, as ever! Do you have any non-TW 901 atties kicking around? The TW ones are 4075s to the best of my recollection, so it is just vaguely possible you might have better luck with Sailebao 901s - they're the ones with 'SLB' plus a laser-etched serial number at the bottom.
