I mentioned in another thread that if "they" wanted testers then they should have posted a thread saying they wanted members to test/review their juices, if this was indeed a legitimate request

I agree with all that you said Tim, which is why I said take no notice, I understand that Chrissie doesnt need any added stress. Unfortunately the odd person on various sites like to cause a bit of agro, its such a shame though as there are some lovely people on the net, im glad that the nice ones are the majority .

Fascinating.

Before I started on e-cigs and found this forum, I was on another forum (totally unrelated to this forum) where there were 16,000 members.
Each of those 16,000 members would talk about that forum to countless friends and colleagues. I met the "owner" of that forum (a company) a few times and the power of that forum to influence people's buying habits (especially online sales) is now widely respected in the "industry" as very important. Members of that forum have, on occasions, kicked up such a fuss about an issue that some companies have suffered irreparable damage.

What always amazes me is that sometimes people publish email responses on the forum which, dependent on the content, can either improve or further damage the forum community's attitude or opinion. One global company refused to refund a customer with a faulty $500 product. He was disabled and the understandable emotion raised on the "thread" contributed (along with many other forums) to a worldwide epidemic of returning of unsatisfactory goods. In 2010, the company withdrew the product permanently from the market. It nearly finished them.

We (they, the forum community) have continually strived to treat all vendors (online or high street) fairly and some of the biggest names have taken umbradge at comments made, some of which were true and some not. Either way, it must be said that ultimately people forgive and forget.

I'd say it was pretty hard to forgive and forget when the front page of a website contains material that basically invites potential customers to take a side in an argument between a retailer and an internet forum.
