I wouldn't say better quality really, they are just different. Vivi Novas come in 2 sizes, standard (3ml) and mini (2.5ml) so they take more liquid than the CE4 types which will hold 1.6ml. And it's a matter of taste, some prefer them to the CE4 type, others don't. Vivi Novas are also more customisable, in that you can buy tubes for them in different colours, and metal ones as well for the liquids that aren't poly-carbonate friendly.
The thing about the CE4s from VIP is that they are not rebuildable, and they are slightly more expensive for a pack of 2 than buying 2 single ones from some other vendors, especially when you factor in the discount code. And they are the exact same thing. If you can buy 2 rebuildable versions for the same or less, you'll save even more money when the heads die as you'll only need to replace the head (£2.50) rather than the whole thing (£5). And if you recoil/rewick yourself, it'll cost pennies.
Edited for speeling (again!)

While I think of it, more on the cost savings of recoiling/rewicking...
I've been vaping a little over 8 weeks. I've recoiled/rewicked 2 clearos in that time, both Vision Rainbows (and both only last week). They cost £5 each originally. I bought 5 metres of wick and 5 metres of 32 kanthal for another £5. I have enough wick and wire to recoil/rewick at least 50 times, probably more. So that £5 is going to save me roughly £250, at a conservative guesstimate. Plus, if my clearo dies I won't have to wait for vapemail to bring me a new one, I can fix up the old one in about 5 minutes. Brilliant, innit?

Hi Cammy, I have 7 rainbow clearomisers and I have had them about 4 months now. I haven't recoiled them (still to learn to do that) but I have had to replace a couple of heads and one base. To say that they only last a month is ridiculous. Like I say, mine are on month 4 and still going strong. I also use a couple of viva nova tanks. I prefer them when I am out all day because they hold more juice. I keep a different e-juice in each top and I do not change juices between my cllearos or my tanks. Perhaps that is why they do last.

Where can I buy rebuildable clearos that fit my batteries and all the parts which you've mentioned?

Cammy, I don't know how much you used to smoke in a month, but at £2.50 for a spare head for a rainbow rebuildable, these do save a lot of faffing about unless you are really mad keen on fiddling about with little bits of wire and wick.
I'm not knocking those that do recoil, but in the beginning it is better to keep things simple and just buy a few spares of those parts that could wear out.

I agree with Giles and Lobey, keep it simple for now. You won't need to recoil for a while, and you may decide not to bother. This is a good deal from Brit Vapes, 1 rebuildable CE5 plus a spare head for £6.99, free postage www.britvapes.co.uk/product-p/ce52.htm.

Cammy, eventually I will get my e-juices down to 6 or 7 flavours that I really enjoy and all of them ones I can mix myself. At the moment I have 3 that are successful and another 4 nice ones that I still buy from vendors but that I am experimenting with to try and copy myself. I have three types of tops/atomisers that I use. The first are Buds, www.safercigs.co.uk/BUD__Tank_Atomizer/cat705284_844680.aspxand I use these to test out new e-juices and my mixes. They are easy to clean out between different juices and cheap to buy. If a juice tastes good in the Bud, then I will try it out in a Rainbow Clearomiser, www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-ego-rainbow-v3-rebuildable~388and vape it in that for a week or so while I make up my mind about it. If it passes that test, then it will go into one of my tanks to be used for full day use. www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-vivi-nova-v2.5-long-wick~371All of these atomisers will fit on my Ego-C batteries and when I am out and about during the day, my e-cig hangs on a lanyard around my neck and so is always handy whether I am working or driving. It has taken me a while to get the set up that suits me and if I didn't buy "shiney things" and experiment with new e-juices, but was content with what I have, I reckon that I could cut my monthly vaping costs to about £24. Considering that I used to get through 40 super king fags per day (£13.56p), my monthly fag bill was £420.28p. In the 5 months since I started vaping, I have saved a lot of money, found lots of new tastes, made an ar#e of myself on here a few times, learned a bit about chemistry and electricity and generally found lots of nice and helpful fellow vapers. Who says you can't teach an old dog, new tricks!

I think I will go for the rainbow clearo as it is rebuidlable - one last question though (I'm sorry as I seem to be asking alot) - what resistance should I choose to go with my 1000mah battery. Why do they differ between 1.8ohn - 2.8ohm? Once again many thanks for all your tips and advice...

Cammy, don't worry about asking a lot of questions - that's the main reason we are here, to help as much as we can.
The lower the ohm rating the hotter they get & therefore produce more throat hit & vapour. With a 1000 mAh battery if it's an ego you can use any, if it's a Riva battery, it's best to not go any lower than 2.0 ohms.

Hi Cammy, Unlike fags where you take one out the packet, light it and enjoy(???) with e-cigs there is a whole lot to learn and a whole lot to choose from and getting it right in a fairly short time can be a bit hit and miss unless you ask a lot of questions. As well as asking questions, you will sometimes understand things better by watching a video and you will find lots here;- www.e-cig-reviews.com/index.htmlGood as our fellow members on AAEC are, occasionally I just cannot understand what they are trying to tell me until I watch someone doing the task on a video, only then does the penny drop. Another good source for information is;- www.thevapebook.com/Having smoked for 50 years and 100% vaped for 4 months, I have a lot to learn and I would still be struggling along on a Skycig kit and a couple of bottles of e-juice if it wasn't for AAEC and its membership's enthusiasm for answering my (sometimes daft) questions and giving me some well thought through advice. Don't rush out and buy something because it is shiney or looks good in the advert. Ask about it on here first. You might have to wait a day or so before you order it, but at least you will not waste your money on something that is useless for you. For every item out there, there is someone on here who has tried it and will give you an insight into whether it is any good or not. Happy Vaping.
