Afternoon all, Followed a link here from ECF, it's great to find a UK specific e-cig forum I'm still a vaping newb (only started this week) but I've seen the light! A little bit of history, I started smoking at about 13 and that was 27 years ago I love smoking, and have always been adamant about smoking to my grave (pun intended) well when I started getting close to 40 and have a wife and two year old son that depend on me I started to think dying for the habit I loved wasn't so attractive. But I still loved smoking and didn't want to give up... If only I could smoke and not have all the health risks involved! That came bubbling to the surface a couple of months ago when in Tescos and I saw a 10 motives leaflet, I picked up a leaflet, inquired about a price and well.. that was it. I went back to smoking my roll-ups and put it to the back of my mind. A month later a workmate started using a Smoke Angel and then gave up cigars entirely and he just vapes now (it's been 5 weeks so congrats to him ) This got the ball rolling again and fast forward to payday and I bought my first disposable 10 motives from Tesco (I know they're not generally liked) I actually quite like them, they give a fair kick so I bought a rechargeable 10 motives with spare battery. My friend let me borrow his Smoke Angel and I discovered the joys of juices That is my next step as the rechargeable 10 motives I have isn't really man enough (my work laptop and home PC look like a porcupine with charging batteries poking out all the time and I can drain one cart in a few hours heh) But I found the Smoke Angel unsatisfying No throat hit and barely any vapor, although can't fault the juice taste. So I'm a bit worried that the next PV I buy will be lacking or wrong for me in some way without knowing much about refillable cigs. Has anyone got any suggestions on a good, non complicated PVs? I guess vapour is probably the most important thing for me with a bit of throat hit, but not too harsh. I was looking at The Weekender from www.beatthesmokingban.co.uk/ as it's got a big battery and supposed to be a good vape from the reviews, it's also sold by a UK company and I'd much rather support UK businesses if I can. But someone recommended the Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151 which I've got to say looks great value for money and a decent bit of kit. Having never tried either I have no idea how well they vape and don't want to buy both lol But I'm leaning towards the Riva now (God i can be so indecisive sometimes hehe) I'm desperate to start trying every juice flavour I can lay my hands on! Thanks for reading my wall of text, if you managed to wade through it

Hi Kibbster, the Riva kit is great and one we recommend to most newbies. More people will be along with recommendations for the best value Riva kit at the moment I would suggest you get one with a Vision clearomiser and cartomisers which the Vape Escape kit has) to see which you prefer. Oh and if you do go for the Vape escape kit use the discount code RAFFLE and you'll get 10% off and entry into the Christmas raffle. Oh and

The main difference between the kits seems to be that the breathesmoking one is cartridge-tank based, while the VapeEscape one includes a Clearomiser and cartomisers - two different ways of vaping, both probably more popular than the tank-cartridge. I think most of us here who have been vaping for a bit would say that a clearo is the best of the three.
If you are trying to match the taste of your rollies I would try the juice from OK Smokey.

Awesome thanks for the warm welcome all! I'll go for a Riva kit then, gutted I have to wait for a few days for the cash to come in but I'm sure it's worth it. Thanks for the links as well for discounts... they always go down well Got to admit I like the look of Clearomisers and I'm a sucker for toys that look cool hehe I've tried my workmates Smoke Angel and although it was a nice flavour I found it a very unsatisfying to vape, almost like inhaling nicely flavoured air. Not what I was looking to replace smokes at all. I would hate to buy something as "mild" as that because it wouldn't be suitable. It's hard though because one man's vape is another's disappointment I guess, was just hoping to avoid too much trial and error. I'll still always have my 10 motives for an emergency backup

Kibbster, the Riva will knock the spots off your friends Smoke Angel (very over priced anyway for what it is) as well as your 10 Motives.
I know you said on ECF that you couldn't refill your 10 Motives, but I'm sure someone on here has refilled theirs, but I could be wrong ???
BTW, pop your location in your profile, that way if you ever get stuck (as I believe you are at the moment), folks that live near you may be able to meet up & help you out.

Hi Kibbster You've definitely come to the right place for advice, this lot are lovely! 2 weeks today for me, although I wish I'd found this forum before I bought my first kit. I'm about to put orders in for a new clearomiser and a load of kit to start mixing my own juices. I have a feeling the whole 'experience' of vaping is becoming obsessive and far more addictive than nicotine!!! Welcome on board (pun intended) and keep off those stinkies. Get yourself a banner in your signature from here, it's a great incentive: allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=3682&page=1
