not trying to gazzump you here sean but is this the same thing ? just with mircsoft on UKV saying it cost about a tenner to make one and these are $12.99 already put together it would save ya the job

I bought this "Multifunction Digital Multimeter" from Amazon about 18 months ago - it seemed like a good idea at the time but I haven't the foggiest idea how to use it scylla

Yep... looks like pretty much the same thing. So I'm guessing this thread can be binned as there's little point in building one that's already available for around the same cost. It's a good thing actually because the the ebay listing for the display has ended, there aren't any more for sale and I'm not getting any response from the seller! Sean

It's easy Perpy, you just screw your battery straight into the bottom of the unit, atty into the top and it tells you what voltage it's at... The 'home made' version just needs to be screwed into the battery I believe. Going to build a couple anyway just for kicks (as I have now made contact with the seller!). Sean
