So a shop has opened up near me, and I have applied for a job  What tips / advice can you give me.  Is it worth the jump from a steady, ok boring job. To 1 where I have to work more hours for little extra in the pay packet  Do you think there is longevity on the high street for these shops and do you think there are future prospects for a Shop Assistant (job Role). Tell me your thoughts pretty purlease  |

I'd say not unless its a very good organisation with a strong on-line presence. It's a very fragmented immature market atm, which means all sorts of people can make a profit, or think they are making a profit. As the market matures and maybe legislation comes in, the incompetent ones will go to the wall.
