Hi All, I've been vaping for 3 days as I want to stop smoking. Unfortunately, whatever flavour I use or alcohol strength I get a really unpleasant bitter almost metallic taste in my mouth which is putting me off. Anyone any ideas why this is. Any help appreciated as if this doesnt go away Vaping wont work for me. Thanks

Hello & welcome Banshee Can you tell us which model e-cig you have, what juices you are using & at what nicotine strength? I'm wondering if you are still tasting the primer that comes in the atomisers or maybe you aren't filling your cartridges with enough e-liquid?

That bad taste is the atomiser not being wet enough.
Drip a couple of drops directly onto the atomiser, then try it.

Lol! Firstly hello & welcome Banshee. . . . it could be that your atomiser, being new still has some primer fluid in it, the revolting taste does take a little time to go away. Are you keeping the filler material in the cartridge moist, but not saturated? What ecig do you have and what juice or you using btw?

Hi All,
I've a titanium titan. The liquids are from Totally wicked and Paradise Vape. All around 18MG strength.
I'm possibly putting too much liquid in the cartrighe as I'm filling it then wiping off the excess. I've put a couple of drops on the atomiser but it still has a fairly unpleasant taste.
Thanks for your helpful responses.

Your juices shouldn't be causing the nasty taste, and overfilling the carts wouldn't cause it - it does sound as though the atties have been cruelly prepped, making them need more running in If you have manual batteries you can activate them without any cartridge attached and burn off the juice on the "element" inside the atty for a few seconds. Then put 2 more drops of juice on and repeat. Then 1 drop of juice on the element and reattach a filled cart and see how you go. It's a waste, but it would be a waste and a tragedy if you can't enjoy your vaping! With the carts, if you can get some blue foam - it makes a better stuffing than what you get with the carts. scylla

Banshee...from time to time i have a nasty burnt taste from an atty, i just wash it out, hold with tongs, run boiling water into it, filling it and let it drain through, several times, then (once it's cooled a bit) blow hard into it from the atomiser end onto some kitchen paper, drip a couple of drops of juice onto it then try it again
