Ok am really pissed off now. My lava tube which I've had for about 3 weeks has been nothing but trouble, but the last couple of days have been the worst. LAst night the charger that came with it went 'bang' and the power cable broke, then tonight I was unscrewing my vivi nova from the top of it, and this happened! Not impressed at all!!! Attachments:

that doesnt look too good can the shop u got it off replace it maybe? That looks like an authentic one too, wonder if theyve got some dodgy batches going around, they seem to last a while otherwise

tis what is called a 'friday night job' - some LT's last with no problems, some go the same way as yours. It is repairable though, I'm sure of it. I can recommend the MVP iTaste ukecigstore, they're fab!

yea maybe not enough glue went into the top part when building it, theres some diy threads out there where ppl take apart the whole LT, the charger going bang isnt a good sign tho in addition to the LT, must b something fishy goin on

It shouldn't go that way in just a few weeks though surely?! And I'm damn sure the battery charger shouldn't have severed it's leads with a pop!!!
Have contacted the seller and hoping they'll refund me but not sure that they will. Before this happened I had been in talks with a forum member re buying his in January and he offered to send it now for me to pay in Jan, which is extremely generous so if that offer still stands he will be my knight in shining armour!!!
As for being repairable it looks like it would need soldering and I don't have soldering iron!

Ratty, Assuming you haven't been chucking it at a wall or some such, get in touch with the vendor. If they're worth thier salt they should replace it free of charge. And if not, name 'em and shame 'em! When goods are faulty, if you return them within six months then it's up to the shop to prove they weren't faulty when you bought them. It still surprises me that even vendors I'd consider 'respectable' continue to state that they offer '3 month warranties' etc on stuff with replaceable batteries etc. Folks wouldn't put up with that kind of thing on a 'real world' purchase like a radio or some such Hope you get it sorted out satisfactorily, John
