Not me, Camper. I've just got into Formula One this past 2-3 years, which I never thought I would, so there is hope for speedway Maybe there would be more hope if it was on TV more prominently. scylla

Only ever went to Speedway once, and that was back in 1973. I hitch-hiked to Berwick upon Tweed with a friend, the weekend that Sunderland were in the F.A cup final. We didn't have TV in our B&B so went to speedway instead. It was very exciting! Sadly, nobody I have known since then has been remotely interested in coming with me. We don't have a local team but Poole Pirates are only just down the road..

Lol! I probably would enjoy it then Camper . . if it's a quieter sport now.

As a child I went quite a lot with my Dad to Stoke Speedway and watched them and wow the noise was great seemed very exciting to me. But have not been for donkeys years now, enjoyed the old Bangor racing and stock cars and never forgetting the demolition derby.....ahhh memories Forgot to mention the lovely burgers from the stand...yum yum

When I used to go Camper the pub was not even built but yes it was popular then, not sure if it still is, you probably know better than me.
