You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. He is obviously not ready to stop. He may well keep your gift and try it again in the future, but if you keep on at him he will rebel. It's human nature. If it were me, i would say nothing and just make sure he saw me vaping at every opportunity

True, I think people sometimes see it as having to quit smoking completely and might get stressed out a bit. When they find out its not too bad a transition and itll keep the initial cravings away then its bit different hehe aside from the health benefits I find its more enjoyable than smoking was now u can chain away and not have the immediate problems of smoking. dont hav to roll up if u used to roll up, with a nice big tank just fill once a day or something, its like smoking 2.0

lazyness!- it's not even giving up really.. more like switching brands. That's how I sell it to friends and family anyway and works better with that frame of mind. Relieves the pressure and stress with a simple mindset

Takes a few days or a week to get used to the different taste, size and weight but after that it's all good.

In all honesty, as we are all ex smokers we know it's better to let them do it in their own good time a friend of mine tried my old set up 900mah battery + v3 i lent him it, next time i saw him 3 months later he had quit smoking, quit vaping too! wish i could quit vaping but at the moment i am still doing it. it just takes time for people to realise the benefits of vaping i think.

i still smoke i am a dual user when i started vaping last year i switched for 4 months and then started smoking again, and now use both, but i am switching again in the new year, but i would imagine there are many people out there who are content to use both, its up to the individual

The only reasons I don't smoke are health, money and brown ceilings.
I still prefer the taste, smell (before it goes stale, anyway) and hit of combusted tobacco. If I get a whiff of someone smoking in the street I struggle to stop myself from diving into the nearest newsagent!

It has always seems to me that there are two types of vapers; those who know from their first toke that they have found an alternative to smoking, and those who toy with the idea on the basis of our success but probably don't have the same desire to quit the weed. I needed to stop smoking, even though I didn't really want to. I introduced e cigs to 3 friends. One of them now vapes, the other two still smoke.... I have since introduced other people to vaping but, I guess, you have to want to stop smoking. Incentive is everything, although I have moments when I wonder why I am trying to prolong my life...

Yep definately one of those things, the majority of everyone i know who smoked i have converted, they have stuck with it and now really enjoy it and say to me i would never go back to smoking again . BUT there is a small group of people i know who just dont get vaping, are not interested in it and would rather smoke, im my opinion its very difficult to convert these types of people. You have to have the will to stop smoking in the first place and try something new but sadly there are some that dont care and are just too stuck in their ways to do anything about it. Unfortunate really because they dont know what they are missing out on.

My neighbour asked for help getting set up after seeing me puffing on first a skycig, then a Riva with Nova. He purchased a Riva, tried it for a week then knocked on my door to tell me it was f***ing s**t! Obviously its not for everyone....I give up

I tried a real ciggie today. Just 'cause I suddenly thought it would be entertaining or satisfying in some way.
It wasn't. Never tasted anything so bad in years. Makes me wonder how I ever started.....
