Ok had a blunt response from the TW returns dept. They have copied and pasted the warranty & have basically said they won't replace the battery. > They don't appear to be interested in discussing the problem. I have replied suggesting the re-read my initial email. Not a happy customer & certainly won't be purchasing from them again.

Thats the same tone we got from them Hissie when we questioned why the same juice tastes so different.Referred to returns who said send it back at your own expense and we will analise it,great customer service, not!. Netty

Well that just says it all Hissie, not very good after sales service at all.I have complained in the past and had exactly the same outcome.I am glad other vendors are much more helpful and have now learned the good guys to use.

I'm trying to sit on my hands Hissie. I know I bought my first e-cig off Jason when he first started selling them on eBay & I also know he & TW have done so much to promote the e-cig. But, though TW's customer service has improved, IMHO, it still has a long way to go

on a slightly different note i dropped one of my AW 17670s and it chipped the wrapper, cant remember what end it was but basically you cant remove the wrapper as this frees the safety bit on the end. so if you have one thats a bit tight dont be tempted to remove the wrapper, just take off the sticky label and hope for the best, its a bit of a poor show really at a tenner each you would think they would be the same thickness. good batteries though. raggy...........

I am not going to let them off lightly with this. They are going to address the issue even if I have to telephone them.
That's one negative about e-cigs, seems certain vendors think they can get away with anything. I wouldn't accept this if it was a regular shop selling clothes or food for example, so I'm not accepting their "policies". After all they have to abide by the distance selling regulations whether they like it or not.

good on you hissie. even quoting there terms is effectively breaking the law. just ask them if this is there final comment on the matter and at the same time tell them you will firstly contact trading standards and then all other relevant bodies. we keep getting told "yeah but there cheap" "they would have to be double this price if you want a warranty etc etc" complete crap, everyone would just buy from china where they do. mainly they seem too think there doing us a favour, well sorry guys where doing you a favour, by lining your pockets. it really peeves me off that you have to do the above just to get what you have paid. rant over.

Couldn't agree more Raggy. I don't appreciate paying a fortune for second rate goods.
The fact remains that the coating should'nt peel off and the price charged for the batteries dosen't reflect the overall inferior quality of the batteries.

I wish I was a direct as you guys. I feel frightened inside when I have to complain, and mincing one's words usually ends up causing more offence than blasting at them would. And I don't get anywhere either scylla

I wish I was a direct as you guys. I feel frightened inside when I have to complain, and mincing one's words usually ends up causing more offence than blasting at them would. And I don't get anywhere either scylla scylla, i sometimes feel guilty about how fierce i get with them, but experience tells me that is the only way they listen. stay polite (not always possible) but be firm and dont shift from what you know is right. 9/10 times i get whats right, if i dont i cause them enough grief that they wish they had just dealt with it. ive always had a be in my bonnet about this sort of thing. the thing is im an unlucky buyer i always have been, many things i buy has something wrong with it from new houses to tins of anchovies. i provide a service in my trade and im a total pain for only doing it right, i lose many quotes as i wont half do a job. and i expect the same when someone provides me with goods or a service. i do think that ecigs are a bit of a strange one though, its not regulated so you have no reference point for some complaints, apart from the distance and sale of goods act. that all said you do get punters who just want to take the mick, so i do see there initial reaction of tough luck as acceptable sometimes. raggy.......

I only become so blunt when the polite customer tactic dosen't work. I used to be all shy and forgiving, but I too have had so many inferior purchases that I have decided to fight for what I am entitled too.
I never complain unless it's deserved as it casues me stress, but I can't afford to just leave.

Not impressed with the new reply I've had from TW regarding the batteries.
Just thinking about what to write back to them.
